It all happened a few hours ago...this was at the hotel I'm at right now (cuz Im on vaca) I got off Clash of Clans and turned off my iPad to eat dinner with my family. We had potatoes, meat and orange melons, which I found to be quite the star of the meal. I finish my meal and go back to my bed. On the way, I notice my 3DS is low on battery. I grab the charger for the 3DS from my backpack and ask "Where's an outlet?" Suddenly, this high-pitched noise occurs, rapidly beating, and me, mom and grandma are all covering our ears in pain. I look out the door and see other families going out the fire exit on my right. On the left, I see fire alarm signal thingys flashing on and off. A fire has started. I shout to my family that there is a fire, and I quickly grab all my stuff and shove it into my backpack. I put on my slippers, hold my shoes and run to the fire exit with my family. My grandma takes forever to come since she doesn't want to leave the food behind. Eventually she comes and we all run down the stairs. Well, not run, more like calmly walking with the other families. We step down the stairs and eventually get to the bottom floor. We leave the building, and I look at the windows. The noise has stopped, but I still see that blue flashing light. Everyone outside is freezing and tries to huddle together to keep warm (because of the temperature). We keep walking to the front door and overhear a walkie talkie say "False Alarm!" My heart stops beating fast and starts to slow down as my family and I laugh in relief. I shout it to the other families, and we all go back inside. The elevators were a bit of a problem, but everyone was fine. No I'm not lying or trying to get attention, this really happened. I was terrified, but now I'm better. Thanks for reading a terrifying but learning experience in my life.
Thats terrifying. Knowing your items/life our at risk any second of your life. Hopefully nothingn like that happens to me
OMG this happened to me also when I was in Tampa Florida when we just settled down all of a sudden the fire alarm rang we packed again and went down. After 10 minutes it turns out it was a false alarm and we went back up and unpacked again ._.
Wow, I'm glad your'e safe! =D I could imagine a little girl forgetting her teddy bear or something, and she would be like, "Umg, Teddy!" and then she heard it was a false alarm and starts running toward the building screaming, "TEDDDYYYY!!" I'm not saying what would be funny in real life, but still xD
