I thank the academy.

Well, before I thank and tag people, I have a story. This is not just any story, but this is a story that I was going to tell on a thread that was specific to it. Back then, I decided to wait until a special moment. Now here it is.

This took an hour to write so I would really appreciate if people read it.
My OITC Story:

Late September 2013
Well back then I was a fan of xrpmx13, and he always put his own server IP in the description and not the one that they were playing on. One day, I watched a OITC video, and obviously I wanted to play it. However as I mentioned earlier, the IP wasn't in the description. Then I checked KermitPlaysMC's video description, and I found the IP. When I first entered, I found a big spawn with a bunch of people. I heard arrow sounds in the hub and was confused. Thank god the compass was there, and off I went into ever beyond of OITC.

Well, I sucked when I began playing OITC, but I had a lot of fun. To be honest, it was more fun when I sucked than it was when I actually played competitively. Well, when I first played, OITC had the spawn of the giant statues, and I had a lot of trouble with spawning and accidentally running into the portal instead of going to the signs (noob).

During these days, I called hacks on people, and I expressed anger like a noob. People that kicked my butt during these times were @minecraftbeast94 , xsarahpie5x , @H_Hyper , XxBluShadowxX , beastfreak123, huanfehai, @Steve1778 , mlavatar, @connor henderson (connorjackernoli) , @jackyjandrels or @Jacky1001 , and Jovan247.

I was so bad at OITC until level 50 when I was inspired to raise my FOV by iPr0xyy . His videos showed him using a really high FOV so I was like why not. That improved my shooting skills immensely. However, I stilled played with a trackpad since I had and still have a laptop (eventually changed to mouse), so I wasn't all that good at melee.
In these times between level 50 and level 80 I existed in OITC as an unknown pro. I really didn't talk to anyone, but I would beat many people on the leaderboard many times. Many pros would leave the game if I joined, and many of them called hacks on me. However, I was far away from the leaderboard, since I was a non-donator and didn't have the double exp.
Fun fact: Even though Beef__Chizzel was number 1 back then, I never played him once until level 90. o_O

Well, the defining moment of my OITC career was Beef__Chizzel messaging me in chat saying, "Nice Skin."
This is when I changed my skin from a TNT skin to one similar to what I have today except it was red (no letterman jacket). I was like whoa....Beef messaged me. After that I started talking to people more often and got to know some of my best friends on OITC such as Mud , Dave, proxy, blushadow, chewie, beastfreak, etc. By hanging around these people, I was motivated to rise and achieve a status I never thought I would get.
Dave even told me once that I needed to get OITC perks so I could get on the leaderboard. After the failed progames of February 14 2014, I donated for legend and OITC perks. After that, I rose up fast. At level 126, I started to use a mouse which improved my melee significantly. Finally after many days, I arrived at 147 and overtook Jellymoon290 http://prntscr.com/4kq3y5

However, I wasn't done then. After becoming well-known throughout OITC, I rose up through the boards rapidly and achieved #14 on the leaderboard in three days after I got on. I sped up to the 2nd row and hung around #6, #7, and #8 for a while due to the big gap between H_Hyper , who stopped playing at 188, and me in the 160s and 170s. Eventually I passed him and took #5.

My next goal was level 200. I told myself that I would retire after that, and I marched my way on. My best memory on the whole server ever was my level 200 games (since I was pro enough to fail to get it in one game). My 200 consisted of a skype call of me, Beef, Dave, Mud, May (xXxMoshJeenxXx), and Canlemick.
My level 200 kill was on Winfurd360, but I didn't win the game because rockor1757 decided to go ham in the last minute of the game. When I got level 200, I also passed Dave to take #4.

Fun fact: My level 200 game was game number 3997. I could have waited to get 200 at game 4000. *facefiotr*

During my game 4000, my Minecraft crashed and that was the end of milestones for a long time.

Did I retire at 200? Of course not. I was like, "Screw it. I'm getting #1." At this time I decided this, I was level 205, and Beef was #1 with level 236. This was going well until I hit #3 and was close to taking #2 from iPr0xyy. Then, the server changed hosts. The host was extremely laggy for me in the beginning so taking number 1 was extremely hard.

During that time, Willy gave me his blessing to take number 1.
I was very close to Beef at level 239, but Beef would level like once or twice a day to keep me from reaching him. Finally, I leveled more than him in one day putting me at 242 and him at 242 (Beef always would be ahead in ties). Beef could have leveled before I came home from school the next day, but he didn't.

Despite the angry people that thought I didn't deserve it, I still made it through the day. Beef and I 1v1ed instead of having a big match for me taking number 1. Beef won 20-12, but it was still amazing. The spam was ridiculous since everyone was there watching the leaderboard update. There was never that many people on the OITC server in a long time. Then, I retired from OITC. I barely played and the next big thing was beastfreak taking #1 from me, and he deserved it. I do regret never getting level 250 but I can't fix that.

After the update, I came back from retirement to hit the leaderboard one more time. After that I officially retired for good.

I am surprised I still remember all that, and I thank all of you for taking time to read this.


After OITC, I took the time to get familiar with the rest of the server.
And here I am now...A position I never thought I would get to.......rough patches.....hard times....I still made it through.

People that really made an impact on my time on the server:

@ProxKipper Mud, you have been my friend longer than everyone on this server. My first skype call was with you, and we have helped each other in OITC through the bad times. Without you, I would have never started talking to others on the hub. Since you went the direction away from OITC, I decided to do it too. Thanks to you, I met many more people and changed for the better.
@dave_the_reaper You are another person that is extremely hilarious, and never fails to make an inappropriate joke that cracks everyone up.
@iPr0xyy Harry, I guess our knowledge of each other's existence started when you thought I had anti-knock back. You are probably one of the funniest people I have ever met. Taking #2 from you was very hard since you were basically part of that legacy for a long time.
@Beef__Chizzel You probably aren't going to be ever reading this, but you are the first person to ever pm me and include me in conversations in OITC.
@MrDeathWilliam Willy, I remember the first time I message you through pm. I was trying to tell ask you a question but, you wouldn't respond (back in November). I was really angry and thought you were the worst staff member ever. This was because I was a noob, and didn't know that you were AFK. However, as time progressed I got to know you. You are probably the second funniest person I know (cause iPr0xyy is swag m8), and we have had good times.
@Magical_Sparklez You are probably one of the first staff members that messaged me hi without me doing anything. I was like, "What? I'm not that cool." But I remember the time when we first played oitc when you were going to 1v1 Beef or something. We have also had great times on teamspeak.
@LilaRok The city will never rest without the us fighting hackers. Lol. Lila, you have always been a great role model for me and everyone on this server.
@Devin610 Devin, you have always been an interesting person. I remember that one OITC way back when you played one game with us. Despite our weird comments in chat toward each other, you have always helped me when I've needed it.
@BlueJeansToGo Talking to you on Teamspeak has always been a blast. You are always making me laugh, and have been good friend since I've know you.
@MC_Scout You are also great to talk to on teamspeak. In fact, you were one of the first people I put into the buddy list thingy. We have had memories from OITC too.
@Heatdude Da Waffle You have really helped me along my way, and have been a great friend. When I need to bring up an issue with someone, it is usually with you. You always give the best advice, and we have had some good 1v1s in OITC ;)
@Leopard_Lover21 Leo, I have probably talked to you the most out of everyone on Teamspeak. We are always making each other laugh. You have always been a great friend.

Well, I remember meeting you way back to who knows when, but that's not the point. You've been probably one of my biggest supports throughout OITC and other things. We've been through a lot of shit together man, it's been a lot of fun. Through the up's and down's, you'll still be one of my greatest friends and rivalries. Hue. We can legit, talk about anything. From OITC hackers, to life stuff. It's been a complete blast hanging with you, my friend. You gave me the will power to even get on the leaderboards. Congratulations man, you really deserve everything. You're a great person that strives to do their best at ones set goal. Hope we can make more memories to come ;)
