I don't think that alts should be allowed, and they aren't allowed if the user is banned or has a history with alts. Otherwise, yeah, they're allowed.

Although, of course, I wouldn't really recommend it. Typically, on online communities, I like to present myself *au naturale*, that is, with no pretense and only my peers to judge me.
