Personally I will really enjoy 1.12 looking at the snapshots, colored beds is something all of us wantedforever and with the addition of these new concrete blocks redstone can be easier, builds will be much more beautiful and adventure map makers will have a lot more blocks to choose from to make something special or different to help them for what they are making. Parrots, I really do not know about though, I think it seems weird and not like Minecraft at all. I do find it pretty amusing that they will imitate mobs and have them on your shoulder. But I don't really think you need it for survival Minecraft. The new terracotta blocks look very pretty and could be used for some interesting builds and, again, textures for adventure maps. Overall I will really love this new update, being released hopefully very soon. What's your opinion on it?
i hate it the colored beds are nice, i guess, but mojang is adding way too much shit into minecraft that isn't really needed (i.e parrots, terracotta blocks, bouncy beds). i know this is the point of updates, but vanilla is just starting to seem like a modded version, you know?
I agree, they do seem kind of modded. The bouncy beds and parrots I don't like. The new blocks are really good, those blocks may seem useless. But if you read my thread I stated adventure map makers can make more blocks with texture packs relating to their map. bouncy beds are really funny tho
i love it I love the cement blocks, and as a builder I see so much potential. If you just play the game for PvP then this shouldn't really even effect you at all. The parrots aren't that bad, and the potential for minigames is endless. The colored sand (which is powder) is an amazing idea, allowing amazing contraptions such as the piston rainbow wave, made by Mumbo Jumbo.
Eventually, minecraft will have a realistic theme to it rather than the original blocky game I used to love. Whenever Microsoft claimed Minecraft, it ruined it. They don't listen to the community, and it's overall crap. It's just why most servers are still on 1.8.9 rather than 1.11.
I don't play MC anymore, but I'll comment anyway They made some great updates to the beds and I love parrots I don't really like the new Terracotta name though. I prefer the old one (Hardened Clay)
I think Mojang should stop adding new block and items and maybe even remove some. MAKE MINECRAFT GREAT AGAIN jk, I'm fine with 1.12
I personally like 1.12, Although it really isn't my most favorite update. The Dyed beds are a nice addition to the game as it gives a bit of a variety of colors to choose from. I also thought it was funny to make the beds bouncy like slime blocks. The Concrete and Terracotta blocks are pretty nice too, I can see plenty of ways people can use them to make really cool builds like Redstone contraptions and Decorative floors in churches. Parrots are cool too, Although they really don't do much. I mean it is cute to have one sit on your shoulder as if you were a pirate, but that's pretty much it. I personally believe that Mojang should add some more animals that could be useful, Kind of like how tamed dogs hunt hostile monsters for you, or how Horses can be used for transportation. The same could be said for Llamas, they are pretty nice, but they don't do much. Overall I think 1.12 is alright, but there is plenty of room for improvements. Maybe in 1.13 things will be better. :)
