Katelyn Nichole Davis

Hello everyone, this is a serious thread, any hate or silliness will not be tolerated.

The other day a girl by the name Katelyn Nichole Davis, aka Itz Dolly on youtube. Committed suicide at the age of 12. How do I know this? Well, she live streamed it. She was suffering from severe bullying and struggling with depression. Let me remind you, she was 12! The video is maybe one of the saddest things I have ever seen. It's a 40 minute long video, and most of it is her telling everyone sorry. She was just a little girl, who was bullied into killing herself. The heartbreaking screams you can hear from her parents, who were looking for her. Her phone eventually died, not showing her parents finding her dangling from a tree. But I would like everyone to take a look at this video. Not to make fun of it, not to gross you out, and not to be a horrible person, but only to show what bullying can cause. However, I am not going to post the link, but if you go to youtube and type in "Katelyn Nichole Davis" the video should come up.

I made this thread to show appreciation towards her. Not only was she a kid, but she was beautiful, and seemed so kind. People need to understand what bullying can cause. She had such a long life ahead of her, and she was taken way too soon.

We will all miss you Katelyn.

I've seen a bunch of people live-streaming their suicides and at this point it doesn't surprise if someone decides to do that
Yea suicide isn't a solution but I am 99% sure this world isn't going to get any better if we continue being locked in our rooms, browsing overused and repeated jokes, hating the same things, complaining about how shit our life is, taking anti-depresant pills and being stuck in a routine so lame it actually kills you anyway
Why recommend watching someone dying tho, that's wrong lol. Some people are into gore (even tho there is no blood in the video) but some others are so stupid and so sensitive that the video is going to fuck them up

I understand that. Im not encouraging to have everyone watch it, I just think it would be a good lesson to show everyone what could happen when you bully someone.

 

Truly sickening. I looked the video up and I can't even convince myself; I can't even watch it if I wanted to. This hits home because I have been bullied, I have been called names, and I still technically suffer through anxiety, depression, you know the jiff. Bullying as a whole is a very serious thing but this just shows that bullying can affect anyone; literally, anyone.

I cannot express my sadness and thoughts about this enough, but no kid, no child should have to deal with this type of horror. It's so sad to just know a twelve year old girl was bullied to the point where she did not want to live on this earth anymore. To the point where they just wanted to leave, end it all.

Depression is a disease, yes, but it can be caused by this stuff. it can very well be caused by this stuff, and I feel so sorry for the family.

The internet can be a lovely place, with lovely and amazing people, but it is far..far from perfect. Some of the stuff people on here think is cool, is clearly not...but it's hard to understand the effect one single comment, one single conversation can have due to communication on here being via writing, not face to face. I can guarentee, without knowing the story, that some internet trolls who had nothing better to do said this stuff to just feel better about their-selves; as a joke you may say. That's one of the downsides of this place, there is close to no face-to-face to interaction so people forget that there is someone else behind that screen..another person, another human being..someone who has feelings. Sadly, this stuff will go on but the least we could do is try to warn others about the dangers of this place.

And this goes to social-media, something I don't use as actively/often as people IRL and on here. I know social-media has literally close to nothing (by what I know) about this story, but it relates. Social-media is basically the internet, you can "DM" or "private message" or "tweet" about someone and completely forget who they are, who they are behind that screen. Everyone has feelings, you may doubt it but everyone does.

Just, understand that the internet can be a very..very dangerous place. Due to the lack of face-to-face communication, people (as I said earlier) can forget that you have feelings...so stay safe out there, my friends. No one deserves to serve the same fate of this young girl. If you have depression, please, get help. It's better than sitting by yourself all day, being sad and wanting to end it all...tell your parents; it may be hard but that may be the right thing to do in your situation. You matter, if you did not you would never have joined this earth in the first place. You are here for a reason, and you have the ability to make a difference in this world. Stay strong, everyone, stay strong for all of us.

Not only bullying, today's society kills people. No offense but kids nowadays are even more stupid than previous generations and that's because of the advanced technology we currently have. Kids just like us don't get to live. Like SMG said:

What happened to her is really sad. Why did you make this thread? I really think the way you worded this, it was pointless. You're telling people to watch a video of a suicide to prove what bullying can do. What the fuck?

This is so upsetting and you said that you're not encouraging people to watch it but you completely are.
Either way this upsets me so much and put me in such a bad mood.
I'm sure you could've worded this differently. It's going to hit some people if it hasn't already.

 

I still don't see how it's acceptable. I don't understand how watching it wouldn't affect anyone at all. You'd feel really shitty.
I sort of see what you're saying and I don't agree, but besides that, it still doesn't justify encouraging people to watch a video of suicide. It's not like she put the link in the thread, thank god she didn't but just the way she worded can be improved a lot lot lot better.

I've personally never gotten bullied (that I know of and or remember) but I could tell that Katelyn's situation was Infact horrible and needed to be dealt with correctly.

I have an friend that is bullied because they had an "special disability", This girl I know of has autism, and she is constantly manipulated by her "friends" to buy them lunch. The way she acted around people, you could tell that she is special, people around her judge her for something that she can't control.
This made me so disgusted, I tried to hang out with her more and defend her, and so I did. In gym class the girls would make fun of her by saying "who do you like better him or him" then later laugh on about her decision. I would tell my friend to walk away or don't talk to them. Even in the hallways, people glared at her, and she even waves back at them. Even now, I'm not completely sure that she is aware of her situation, but she found friends that can help her better than I could.

my advice is don't bully someone;
You wouldn't know what their family life is or you do know and make fun of them because of that reason. For example, their parents are divorced and the mother doesn't work and the father is an alcoholic (situation like this), I would guess that the kid would be highly depressed and can even get enough courage to do something like this.

i was honestly just curious about what happened in this video, because a few people were talking about it at my school. i watched it, and i want to throw up. this made me so upset, and the fact that none of the viewers called the police as it was happening. rest in peace, katelyn. prayers to her family.

 

I know this is kinda off topic but why the hell is it posted online? Shouldn't someone have removed it by now? But other than that I wish her family the best of luck in the future.

 

I am going to close this thread, because I am afraid some people may have/will take(en) it the wrong way. However, if you have any questions feel free to PM me, as I have done a lot of research within her suicide.
