I know guys I used to be a 'Rule-Enforcers' but know when I read 'The Rules' http://itsjerryandharry.com/index.php?threads/the-rules.13/ I found out that you are not allowed to enforce the rules (RULE 11 'Do not enforce the rules if you are not a staff member. Report the user and leave it to a moderator to handle.' Like when you tell a person to stop Double-Posting, your still Enforcing the rules which is against the forum rules. Just tell a moderator and let them handle it. Hope you understand guys. Silent_Arrow out!
No I was telling him just to not to reply to this. That's all, I am not telling him to obey the rules. Anyways forget about this thread.
Maybe if the mods came on the forums more often then people wouldn't have to do this. Yet they don't. And until they do I see no reason to enforce the rules that they fail to enforce. And look, I get that they are busy and such, but they aren't on enough to see most if the problems. Until more of them actually enforce some rules or more mods come to do it, then this is a necessity. And until then I see no reason not to continue.
I second this. Don't want to start a flame war but I disagree with rule 11. You should be allowed to explicitly tell a person so they don't do it in the future since not a lot of mods are able to check every post.
And that's the reason why there are 'report' buttons, we should use them more. The 'report' button is there so we won't enforce the rules. We warn the Staff Members with that button and they will take care of it. We will help more if we actually used that button and not actually enforcing the rules.
But the only mods I see that actually deal with Domestic(User) problems and disorderly conduct are DWG and Homieboy. All the other mods(including DWG and Homie) just stay in the reports area. We really need mods that are actually enthusiastic and serious about their jobs, because most of our moderators aren't that serious and considerate of their authority.
The staff barely used the report button in the past. I've used it many times and nothing has come out of it. I hate to say it, but the report button is unreliable. That's why if I contact mods for help I just directly do it via Skype. Yet that isn't always a possibility, that's the issue as well.
How did he act like a Mod by saying that? Not trying to provoke fights, I'm just curious cuz I don't get it x3
1. I didn't act like a Mod by pointing that fact out. 2. If you find me annoying, that's your issue, not mine. 3. I never started. 4. You're welcome :3
Oops, sorry I deleted my post above because it was really off topic to the OP Sorry if it bothered you!
I think I should just politely tell people to not double post and etc. Until the new mods come out or if some of the mods say "dont double post please" then I think it's fine if I at least remind them about the rules.
