I'd much rather have a president that respects women, lgbt+ rights, and promotes peace and happiness instead of a racist man who has no respect for women. We can't change the results, but it's truly the first time I have ever felt unsafe to live in America. I feel so bad for the families that are in fear right now over being kicked out of our country and losing everything. It's heartbreaking. Donald Trump is so violent and it's disappointing to see that this clown is our next president.

Edit: I've noticed a lot of people are criticizing Trump for the generic negative things said about him. Try looking at him from a political stance and see what benefits are to offer to our country that Hilary may not have offered. I know some of you may be young and don't understand politics but just mind other's opinions on this because it's a hard topic to touch on. Whether or not though, he's still our new president and hopefully in the future people will get that through their heads. Also, I'm not writing this to offend anyone, only to get my opinion on things across, hoping it might help someone. :)

 

I would like to point out that Bill Clinton doesn't have to do with anything. He didn't run for president, Hillary did. Everything Trump wants/does such as LGBTQ+ conversion therapy, a wall being built, disrespect to women, disrespect to races/other cultures, etc, is completely disgusting. So many, if not, all of the states are going to be effected by this negatively and you're over here with points in which if you do more research on Trump then the argument is way worse. Hillary deleted emails. She wants what's best for the country. What does Trump want? He's taking this country and turning everything around. Everything that we've built up to this point is going to crash and burn. Children are afraid to leave their homes and be themselves because of this man. Everyone else is just concerned with a bunch of emails. Okay.

For months, Donald Trump has made the world an uglier place. Despite the talk show sketches and late night bits, this is a real man who looked in the face of overwhelming evidence and not only denied the existence of climate change, he spat in the face of those who attempted to help him see the light-- Going as far as to propose the dismantlement of the Paris Agreement, the single biggest step forward in the reversal of the effects of climate change ever.

Hillary Clinton, however, promised to "Generate enough renewable energy to power every home in America, with half a billion solar panels installed by the end of her first term." That was monumental, more than I have the words to describe.

Donald Trump is a misogamist, racist, ignorant, uninformed and unqualified coward who has hurled incomprehensible and unkeepable promises to the world through Twitter for the past year, relying on cultivating fear and insecurity with no regard for the repercussions. He is a bully.

This man has the Nuclear launch codes. And as Obama said ''If this man cannot control his own Twitter account, how will he handle these codes''.

11,000 people voted for a dead gorilla. Our culture is proving every preceding generation's expectation that we are a failure and it isn't funny anymore. I sat in front of an uninterrupted live stream for six hours and witnessed the will of the American people crumble as state after state went to Trump. Those 11,000 votes were votes for Trump. We have to be smarter.

I am heartbroken and disgusted at this ugly, hateful election which proved that sexism is prominent and accepted- completely. More than half of the population of the most powerful country in the world voted it into the White House.

Be upset. Be outraged. Don't laugh it off. Be disgusted and be part of the change. Educate yourself and learn that the effects of this election spread well beyond the borders of the United States. Learn how this affects you because I promise you, it does. Find out what you can do to make the world a brighter place, do it.

I will go out and proudly love and support and respect minorities and women and immigrants and no one can take that away from me, or you, or anyone. Join me, join the world. Take the step forward. I love you. Lets do it.

At the end of the day, this is just my opinion. I did not like either candidate at all (I admired Bernie Sanders a lot) but if I had to pick one, I would have chosen a third party candidate. This is democracy. Get on with it people. It's done. We just need to try and see the positivity on a larger scale. We are all giving him a chance, it's up to him to deliver!
