    Doesn't appear to be any specific errors launcher wise, try deleting the 1.8 and Optifine 1.8 Versions folder (under .minecraft\versions\)

    If you get this at the bottom of your launcher log, it means in the future Minecraft will stop running. You can't do much about it and this HAS happened to me in the past. I updated to windows 10 and Minecraft stopped working.

    What are you hardware specs.?

    It's not Windows 10 that caused Minecraft to stop working. It all depends on your hardware specs, Windows 10 can be pretty good.

    To be honest, I tell you why my windows 10 killed my computer but not minecraft.

    When I had windows 10 it was fine until the screen goes off, the computer would be still on but I got p*ssed when it turned off, when it kept going off until I decieded to go to windows vista.. Bad idea.. because at random times my computer would turn off, I looked everywhere but I think the computer was acting up, now I have my old computer and I have no problems at all, I do currently have windows 7 now..

    Ahh windows 7 you are always nice to me c:

    That has nothing to do with the operating system itself. It has to do with the default configurations you have. You can change when your screen turns on/off etc. in this... Although, I hate Windows 10, it has too many background tasks/services which you don't even use and you can't close them and it lags you...

    Windows 7.

    My computer is good enough to run Minecraft, trust me. I've been running Minecraft on this computer since about 2011 aye. High graphics and all that snazz. Like I said, this suddenly happened. I doubt its a hardware issue seeming all my other games can run perfectly fine.

    + I can run other minecraft versions, just not 1.8.. so it couldn't be my computer.
