Anyways, for the like 10 of you that will read this thread, it's time for the MLB Playoffs!! Hype!!

Anyways, lets start with the Wild Card games:

AL Wild Card Game: Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Expect this one to be a dinger-fest. Both starting pitchers (Charles Tillman: 3.63 ERA vs. Blue Jays this season, and Marcos Stoman: 7.04 ERA vs. Orioles this season) have given up a lot of runs against the opposing team. Meanwhile, the teams hit a combined 57 home runs in 19 games against each other. I'm hoping for Jose Bautista to throw his bat all the way to Mexico this time around.

Prediction: Blue Jays win, 11-8

NL Wilf Card Game: San Fransisco Giants vs. New York Mets.

So... those Giants managed to sneak their way in...

Anyways, we'll be seeing Thor (Noah Syndergaard) going up against Madison Bumgarner. The two pitchers faced off once this season, resulting in a Giants win. However, I think it's going to be different this time around. Even though they are plagued with injuries, I see a bad game upcoming for MadBum, but remember guys...

Prediction: Mets win, 5-2

AL Divisional Series: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers



Enough said.

Prediction: Blue Jays win series 3-1

AL Divisional Series: Cleveland Indians vs. Boston Red Sox

Woah, a Cleveland team is in the playoffs. Remember earlier when the Indians were doing average at best? Then the Cavs won the NBA Championship and they were suddenly good? Unfortunately, I don't see the Indians having the same luck as the Cavs. The Red Sox are simply too talented.

Prediction: Red Sox win series 3-1

NL Divisional Series: New York Mets vs. Chicago Cubs

The Cubs have looked mighty good this year, despite a stumble mid-season. Remember, the Mets were the ones to eliminate them last year, but they don't have Daniel Murphy anymore, do they?? Plus, the Mets are being seriously hindered by injuries. That will be their downfall.

Prediction: Cubs win series 4-2

NL Divisional Series: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Washington Nationals

Guess who's baaackkk

Anyways, this is a pretty even matchup, but I just see more talent on the Dodgers roster. Assuming their bullpen doesn't blow it for them, they'll move on with a tough win.

Prediction: Dodgers win series 4-3

AL Championship Series: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox

Ooo boy, this would be a good one. A lot of talent on both teams. However, the Blue Jays high powered offense won't be able to carry them past this Red Sox team. It'll be close, but the Red Sox will grind it out.

Prediction: Red Sox win series 4-3

NL Championship Series: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs

As good as the Dodgers are, they don't match up with the Cubs very well. Kershaw can't do everything on his own, and this Cubs team is just all-around too good. The Cubs will get off to a fast start, leaving the Dodgers to play catch up the rest of the way, but the Cubs will leave them in the dust. Sorry Clayton



Prediction: Cubs win series 4-2

World Series: Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago Cubs

These are two great all around teams. Both are young and upcoming, and have plenty of veteran leadership as well. That's what will get them here. While I believe this matchup could go either way, I have to go with the Cubs in a close series

Uh, no. I actually believe the Cubs are slightly better. Plus, they were my preseason pick. Why ditch that now? I'm sticking with them all the way.

Like seriously, San Francisco is going to go super saiyan and win it all somehow.

 

As far as the Orioles game, that's different for me. I say the Orioles win a medium scoring battle tbh. 7-5 or 6-5.


Mets Vs Giants
I can agree on your next pick however, the mets should slide through.

As far as the Rangers, it's October, the month of the choke. orioles move on powered by Machado's hot bat.

Red Sox vs Indians

Me being the biggest die hard Red Sox fan since I could say "baseball" I predict a joke of a series really. Red Sox blow them out of the water, with scores like 9-4, 7-1, etc.

Yeah, the Cub's series journey won't end here. They go to the next round with ease.

Nationals vs Dodgers

If Strasburg were around, I'd give this to the Nationals. However, he's hurting, so I'm giving this to the Dodgers.

Dodgers 4-2 series win.

Orioles vs Red Sox

Man, this would be tough. I think we'd get the close wins, though, especially coming off a hot end to the year. Sox are swinging for the fences.

4-2 or 4-3 series win

Cubs vs Dodgers

As good as Cory Seager is, he's not good enough. There'll be a grind, but Cubs will pull it out.

4-3 series win

2016 all star game (Cubs vs Redsox)

Man, this is a toughie. The Cubs are on fire this year, and are on a 112 year World Series drought. They will be out for blood going into the series. However, the Red Sox are coming off a last place showing last year. I predict they will drop the first game in a blow out.

The sox, powered by Mookie Betts, David Ortiz, Hanley Ramirez and Jackie Bradley the defensive wizard, should put up quite a fight. I say they snap out of it and tie the series 2-2.

Man, everything after this is fate. I assume it will be a 3-3 series, and have a good last game. I can't wait to see how the playoffs go. So I take the Red Sox, 4-3 series win, only because I like them.

NL Wild Card - Giants vs. Mets

Being an Angels fan, this is biased. Mets win 6-3.

ALDS - Indians vs. Red Sox

Cleveland. What the heck happened there. LeBron comes back and the Cavs win it all. But, I don't see the Indians pulling this one off. Red Sox win series, 3 - 1.

ALDS - Blue Jays vs. Rangers

Yay. October is here. And so are the Rangers. Luckily, they seem to choke often in October. I say there will be at least 3 hit batters in this series. And a fight. Blue Jays win series 3 - 2.

NLDS - Dodgers vs. Nationals

Honestly, I have no idea who will win this. But the Nats need a good playoff run. Nats win series 3 - 2.

NLDS - Mets vs. Cubs

The Cubs are just too good. Amazing pitching, amazing hitting, it just felt easy for them this season. Cubs win series 3 - 1.

ALCS - Blue Jays vs. Red Sox

Oh damn. A good series for once. But the Red Sox are a fkn powerhouse. I see them overpowering the Jays. Sox win series 4 - 2.

NLCS - Nationals vs. Cubs

Once again, the Cubs are too good. Smooth sailing the whole CS. Cubs win series 4 - 1.

World Series - Cubs vs. Red Sox

HOLY CRAP AN AMAZING WORLD SERIES FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE! But, like I've said every other section the Cubs have been in, they're just too good. Incredible series tho. Cubs win World Series, 4 - 3.
