Communication between the administration and the community on this server

There is a huge problem on this server. This problem is communication between admins and the community.

This is the whole list of accepted suggedtions last year. There are no more. This is it. 10 accepted suggestions. There were 1119 suggestions posted in this year and less than 1% were accepted.

And if you look at the denied suggestions, staff most of the time denied because of their personal opinion. Not the community's ."I do not see a reason why to add this." No suggestion is pointless. It would add fun. It would add something to the server. The community wants it.

The suggestion forum is the communitys voice. Meanwhile, less than a percent of suggestions are accepted. And the ones that do get accepted arent adding anything to the server. They're changes. Things that require little to no effort. What's the point of having a suggestion forum when you accept less than a percent of suggestions?

If you look at the news that explain major changes made to the server (news section), none of them were community suggested. No joke. Go check the news section now if you don't believe me.

I sometimes have good ideas for suggestions, but I don't suggest them. Wanna know why? Because I know there is no chance they are going to be accepted.

This thread is an open letter to the owners of this server. You need to communicate more with the community. Find a fix to the problems I mentioned above. It is becoming a problem.

I totally agree with you, as someone who has made quite some suggestion thread it is really frustrating to see that your suggestion, which I put time and effort into to make it as detailed and usable idea getting ignored or rejected.

Self advertising!!??

For real, I made that thread with the intentions of informing the staff team/community/etc about all the great suggestions...all the things the community itself wants for the server. I literally put 57 links to great suggestions, in my opinion. 57 links, you can count them if you want.

I do think that there should be a bit more communication with Suggestions, possibly a new system since this one....doesn't really work that well. I'm not trying to be negative, it's just what I see. The suggestion I linked above was one of the only suggestions this whole year to light-up like that, again, not trying to self-advertise, but it's the truth. Jerry liked the post, Harry left a comment.
With his comment, Harry said they're adding a new mini-game, and he also said it may take a while. We can only guess what it will be.

I somewhat agree with this, even though there have been suggestions...that have added things to the server.
I'll list some off the top of my head:

• ./friends
• KitPvp
• Gadgets
• Resets (Can be defined as both changes/additions to the server, in my opinion)

Tl;DR
I do think there could possibly be a bit more communication about server/forum Suggestions.

Please..don't turn my post into an arguement/whatever people do these days. It'll only cause pain.

I always wanted to say this to the community, but I was afraid about other people's opinions.
But seriously, I can't thank you enough to be so brave to say this.
I've hardly seen any suggestions that have changed the server much. Most of them just changed only a small thing about a mini game.
The owners really need to listen to their community. They must understand that we want to help the server for everyone, not just for themselves.
I'm not saying that I hate the owners and their choices, I'm just suggesting to them that they need to pay more attention to their community.
We cannot keep being ignored and disagreed with. We must be heard for what we suggest. I think it's time for a change.

Please do not argue with my opinion or be mad. I'm already being hated for no reason. I just want to feel passionate and brave for once and show that I'm not afraid to say my opinions anymore. I want to be brave. So please do not argue with my words. Thank you.

There was one more that I cannot remember at the moment, but there they are.

Anyway, I made these suggesting based on my experience as a community member, and I wanted to suggest things that were to improve our forum experience, as you could imagine, and those suggestions I have made I believe deserve more attention. They are good ideas in my opinion, and I regret not having them be reviewed it even looked at by the owners, Jerry and Harry.

I had a few other ideas as you could guess over time, even one I wanted to post a week ago, but that one possibly could have started a major flame war on me for suggesting, so it does not count.
The other one, was a genuinely good idea I had but never bothered to post because I never thought it would see the light of day, judging on how my other suggestions were overlooked by the owners.

Yes, of course I think that we need more communication between us and the owners!

I think it is time that you take a look at AT LEAST one post. It infuriates me how you don't even give a damn about the suggestions we work so hard on to be accepted and all to see that only 10 posts got accepted, in which OURS wasn't. I truly hope that you stop focusing on only donations, videos and applications and FOR ONCE look at just ONE thread. I, like @LouiseXminerX, was scared to say this and I was too, but seeing how everyone is as brave as to do this, so I don't give a damn about ANY of your arguments toward MY opinion. It will not change, and that is that.

I have posted many suggestions ever since I was 10 and most of them weren't even LOOKED at. You should start to look and ACCEPT some suggestions, this server is beginning to turn into an excessively boring one.

And now, as for minigames don't come at us with that "We only pick original ideas" bullshit. SG isn't original and neither is KitPVP. Creative isn't original as well as factions and survival aren't anything CLOSE to original. And you still added those RIGHT after you said those well known words. Excuse me, but that is just wrong and hypocritical. How? You tell us not to suggest those overused ideas and you STILL add overused ideas. Many people will agree with me.

So if you want to ban me JUST because I said a comment ONLINE, then go ahead and ban me, I don't care. I can still communicate with my friends through the server and if you intend to ban me on the server because of something that happened on the FORUMS, then I'm still fine with that. I have social media anyways. But if you consider this post a "drama thread" and ban me for that, then it just shows that people's opinions are just drama to you, Now, leave me alone and do not answer to this post with a ranting purpose or an angry post. My opinion will not change whatsoever and I had to get this off my chest.

I normally dont do this, But i would like to voice my Opinion too.


I too feel that our owners should look at the suggestions because a lot of us put a lot of work into making things that would be fun, Like my suggestion Bending battle and so forth, But i BARELY see any suggestions get accepted, the ones that do are usually really small things. its because people never look at suggestions and only go with ones they like. EVERYONE should have a helping hand in the server's success, not just the staff and owners themselves.

I am going to ask you guys very politely, Administrators of IJAH, Please look at what kind of suggestions we have that could benefit your server. Some of us have came up with really good things and we would like to see them become a reality.

 

I see suggestions that lots of people reply to, denied or ignored even though everyone agreed with it. Its stupid. Sure maybe a large number of those 1119 suggestions are bad or stupid, but what about the others that are good for the server?

 

What if those suggestions, the owners don't want to implement?
Just because you think they are amazing doesn't mean J&H do.
And at the end of the day, who run this place?
Minigame suggestions are usually ignored because the owners want originality (I think it's more now they want full control of what they make rather than pretty much copy but idk).
Other suggestions are either, no offense, bad or useless.
There are a few good suggestions but I can understand that it's more effort pulling them up throughout the 1000 bad ones.

Have a look at the most viewed/replied suggestions and tell me how many were accepted.

 

How many were accepted? The ones that take little to no effort to do.

 

Perhaps don't assume they were accepted due to little effort.
Staff spent hours denying staff applications due to my suggestion.
Also note the owners are busy, not only with school (Uni) but holidays. They don't have hours to satisfy players when they may not like something.
We've seen what happens if something is added that the owners don't like (UHC). Why push for more like that?

 

We can try new things.

If the owners are really that busy, I'm sure a lot of developers would be ready to help them.

And yes, your suggestion needed a lot of effort, but look at the other ones.
They were little changes that take less than 10 minutes to make.

I agree with this.

I think the Owners would've been more warmed up to the idea if the UHC's actually got players. I think they didn't get player's because they weren't the conventional UHC that many people likes, and it was kind of a risk making it unique.

 

I agree with you. Like any server, there should be more transparency between the community and the staff team, and actually listening to suggestions is a step ahead. A lot of the suggestions could use some work, but there are some that should be looked into and possibly added to the server.
