My Problems with LGBT

EDIT: There is a difference between being homophobic and not agreeing with being in a homosexual relationship. I can not approve of a homosexual relationship, but does that make me a homophobic?
Let me get one thing clear, homophobia is the fear or hate toward homo/bisexuals because of their sexuality. It is NOT to disagree with the sexuality of one. If this offended anyone then I apologize. I don't want to argue, so please don't quote me with "ermahgerd your a hermapherbic" because I am not. And although I don't agree with how they're living, I still respect them. I have no reason to hate on them unless they're mean and ignorant people. I have many queer friends, so I don't see why I would be a homophobic.

Just because you don't have the beginning letter of you sexuality in a name that represents you guys, doesn't mean that people don't accept you. They chose LGBT as their letters because they are the most basic and common. But they didn't want to leave anyone else out, so that's why the + is there.

 

i sexually identify as a vending machine, ever since i was little i always knew i wasnt a guy but a vending machine dispensing 1 dollar chips and drinks

Youre allowed to not approve of a single relationship like if someone is abusive to another in the relationship then obviously that's not okay...but if you're disapproving and against any gay relationships that people you don't even know have then yes you're homophobic
How they're living doesn't really affect you so why do you care so much about us?

If I were homophobic I'd bully people like "Ew you're disgusting you're gay ew" for being gay and the sole fact that one is gay would make me dislike that person, but disapproving of that lifestyle doesn't make me homophobic. That's just me though. It's not that I care that much and such, if I cared as much as you say I'd wake up and remember "My god that guy is gay he's going to hell omg that's just gross." I really don't care if you're gay, I just don't approve of the lifestyle and that's just me talking. I'm sorry if you don't understand, it's complicated.

You don't care if someone is homosexual or not, but you're against the lifestyle of homosexuality. Those are 2 completely different statements. If you don't care if someone is homosexual, then why are you against it? I'm sorry, it just doesn't make any sense.

And just out of curiosity, why is it hard to take the community serious anymore? We are all humans. We all love and care about others and live on the same planet together. It's not my fault and the communities fault that they love who they love.

 

I think what he meant was some people from the LGBT+ community like to make a big deal out of their sexuality just for attention (I'm not saying EVERYONE does this, but some people do)

 

No, anyome can love who they want to and live whatever way they please. It's just that I don't see that there should be so much drama over it, like other people said at this point it's more of people wanting attention

 

Okay yes, people complain about things, but thats everyone. Its not right though to say that all people complain about their sexuality for attention. Thats who they are. Yes, some might do it for attention, but I dont think all of the community does. Like me, I like guys and girls, but I dont do it for attention and I don't make it a big deal. It is what it is and I just continue to live my life. I even have friends who are gay and they don't complain all the time and seek attention. They are just normal people.

You don't need to approve of the lifestyle. If people are happy living that way, then good for them. At this point, [with all due respect], nobody is asking for your approval. I think what Gooby is trying to say is that when you say you "disapprove" of the lifestyle, it sounds like you're being homophobic. If you disapprove of something, would you surround yourself with it and be 110% accepting of it? No, you probably wouldn't. That's why technically it is homophobia.

Seriously, peeps are allowed to have their own opinions about this-you don't have to like it but you should respect 'em for being them. I'm not going to say my pov/opinion to avoid triggering people. :)

For real, don't "hate" on anyone because they don't think exactly like you do. We're all unique just the way we are.
