Why is Creative 1 so fragile (for lack of better word)? It seems to crash at least once a month, while every other server hardly ever crashes unless the whole network does. There's a lot of people that play it, yes, but the Skyblock servers get large amounts of players too and I've never heard of them crashing. Is it just because it's old? (If this would be better in the Help section, please move it there, but I posted it here because it's not really something I need "help" with, I'm just curious.)
That was my guess too, the first creative server has been around ever since late 2012 (Or so i assume) So i believe its starting to suffer the same fate as Survival 2013, Either theres a huge memory leak going on, (Because ive seen people load the creative server all the way to the world border) Someone built insanely huge Redstone clocks and thats what's crashing the server, Or its just starting to get old and needs a reboot. That's what i think is happening.
There is no reason why there would be a memory leak. If you load the world border, its the same as if you load it anywhere else in the map. Also, this isn't what memory leak means. A memory leak is when software or a dead ram stick won't let it unload data so that has nothing to do with c1 being flooded. Redstone clocks are also very unlikely to be the response. I have come acoss many huge activated clocks and they caused no lag. What I think happens is that the hardware used for the server is insufficient for its needs. C1 may have thousands of players online and that requires one hell of a CPU to take care of. Maybe pay a bit more for better hardware in creative 1's server ?
