My Another Try: Time Travel

Ive beaten my laziness! Yaaaaaaay! Anyway, new chapter is here. Like usual, please reply so that the story can continue without double posting. Thank you and enjoy :)

Chapter 17 - Going out with a boom

They were driving like this for hours, it became dark. Killy was the only one who didn't want to sleep. The only reason no one slept yet is because the road was bumpy that you can barely even stand. "Where exactly are we going?" asked Safoya. "Back to Jack's town. Seems like a decent place to start." answered Louise. "How exactly is that a decent pla-" Safoya was interrupted. "Do you have any better ideas?!" Shouted Louise. Blab was still sobbing because of her mecha. It was way cooler to fly around with this thing than sitting in the back of a truck holding on something and praying you're holding hard enough not to fall off. She never had a technology better than a Rebel's Mecha.

"Wraaaaarh!!!" screamed something in the distance. Because it was very dark, no one could see. When it started running at them, it became more than obvious. "FLARE!!!" yelled Killy and started aiming his sniper rifle at the flare but missed and got the shoulder instead. It slowed the flare down. "Flares are scared of fire! Blab! Your flamethrower!" shouted Sven. Blab instantly got her flamethrower and started pointing it in the direction of the flare. The flare didn't care and flipped the truck over. "Aaaaah!!!" everyone flew in different directions. Except Louise who was pretty much stuck inside. When the truck landed, she started bleeding and was unconscious. Everyone else, they had hardly gotten up. They couldn't see much, it was night time. The flare was getting closer.

Blab acted fast, she got her flamethrower and started shooting flame at the flare. The flare, in panic, started running away, screaming "WRAAAARH!!" to show his disappointment that he was defeated by a girl holding a zebra thing. "Louise!" screamed Safoya running towards the truck. She pulled her out of the truck. She barely opened her eyes. "You're alright?" asked Blab. "I'm... fi *cough*" Louise lost consciousness again. "We can't go any further, at least until tomorrow. We will rest here, but someone needs to be awake to guard. Flares can return." said Killy. Sven volunteered to guard. Safoya tried to find some medicine in the truck, she found a few bandages and put them over Louise's head to stop the bleeding.

A few hours later, everyone was already sleeping. Sven was looking in the sky looking at the stars. He was wondering what's happening to Bruno right now. Is he caught or is he still there running away and trying to hide. Either way, he couldn't know. The sound of silence has made him tired in a short while, he tried to stay woken up, but at some point he just couldn't stay awake anymore. He just fell on the dusty ground and started sleeping. He had a weird dream. He thought he saw an ugly man on an abandoned island singing "Jingle Bells" around a pineapple. The pineapple had a face drawn on it, it looked depressed. Almost betrayed. What was happening. He woke up because in the dream, the pineapple became a child and then drowned the man in the beach. "Woah!!" Sven woke up. He then heard the sounds of vehicle engines.

He looked around to see where the vehicles could be, and he saw four of them. One Phoenix jeep chased by three other Phoenix jeeps. The vehicle that was being chased had a gunman with a laser rifle that was shooting at their pursuers like crazy, not caring if he got his initial target or not. He thought he recognized the shooter, someone very familiar. He decided to look at the vehicle's driver. Red Hat Guy. Sven immediately ran to his friends to wake them up who, surprisingly, didn't hear anything. "Come on! Come on! Wake up!!" yelled Sven slightly kicking everyone's feet so that they get up. Everyone except Louise got up. "There's Red Har Guy! We need to put our truck on its wheels NOW!!!" Commanded Sven.

Everyone, without arguments, started pushing the truck in order to flip it over so it's on its wheels again. It wasn't easy, Safoya and Killy found ropes in the back of the truck and attached them to the other side of the truck so that when they would pull the rope, it would flip over. "At 3, we push! One, two THREE!!" Shouted Blab and everyone started pulling/pushing. It was very hard to, but in a few minutes they managed. Red Hat Guy and his pursuers were pretty far already. Sven got Louise and put her in the back of the truck and himself sat on the driver's seat. He pressed the gas paddle without hesitating but the truck went a little faster than expected so Killy, who sat in the back of the truck where everyone else, almost fell off.

The truck went full speed, Killy looked around and spotted three flares running in their way. Soon everyone saw them except Louise who was still unconscious. Everyone knew, ride to hell is reserved for them.

I feel some Mad Max in the next chapter =3

Chapter 17 - Ride to hell

The chase started. Jack's truck behind the Phoenix's vehicles and behind the truck, an army of flares. Despite it being crazy and insane, Sven still enjoyed his time on the wheel. He was driving like a psychopath. He even found a button that would turn on music, he pressed it and a catchy song was in the background now. "Where did this song come from?!" asked Safoya who was trying to hold on the truck and not fall off. "There's an audio, I love that song..." said Killy and started singing along. Blab didn't understand what was actually happening, they were about to die a pretty crazy way and they're singing along to it...

A few minutes later, they caught up with the Phoenix vehicles. The Phoenix didn't hesitate at starting shooting in their direction and neither did Killy and Blab. Blab took Safoya's magnum and started shooting in the vehicles direction. Killy was shooting with his rifle. Safoya just tried to dodge the shots. Svdn clearly lost his mind completely, he drove the truck into the closest of Phoenix's vehicles and made Killy fall on it. "What the hell?!" screamed the driver of the vehicle that Sven just bumped into. "A little more polite please!" said Sven and shot the driver in the neck with his gun. "What is happening to me?" thought Sven. "I'm being insane, what is going on..." these thoughts were gone as soon as the flares were right next to them.

Louise slowly started waking up... the first thing she noticed was the song. What...? She then noticed that Blab was shooting in the vehicles. She slapped herself to understand what's happening and looked behind her. Flares. She noticed a harpoon in one of the boxes in the truck. She picked it up and aimed it at one of the flares. She shot and it pierced the flare's head but the spear was stuck and the flare fell. Louise couldn't hold the harpoon and it flew off her hands. This shot clearly angered other flares who were angrily staring in her eyes. She then saw Blab's flamethrower right there. She knew it was her's because it was painted zebra. She picked it up and started shooting flame at the flares, they weren't scared like the last time, they just hit the flamethrower off Louise's hands. Sven saw that and bumped into one of the flares. The truck hurt its leg and it fell. Only one left now.

Killy stood up and realized he was on the Phoenix's car. He looked back at his truck and saw his rifle laying there. He also noticed that the vehicle Killy was on had no driver because Sven shot at him. Because there was no driver, the vehicle started going in different directions, Killy jumped off the vehicle to the other Phoenix vehicle. On that vehicle however, there were soldiers that were there with their guns pointing at him. Left with no much choice, Killy decided to fight with his fists. Now that he was beating those soldiers up, the last flare alive jumped on the vehicle flipping it. Killy had a half of a second to jump back to his truck, he jumped...Almost didn't reach it. Louise caught his hand and pulled him back to the truck.

The fire fight continues, now all the fire was focused on the flare that violently got into battle by flipping the Phoenix's car. Due to all attention focused on the flare, no one noticed that they were driving to the cliff and are all about to fall off of it. Red Hat Guy was the first one to notice. "Woah!!! We're about to fall off the cliff!!" yelled Red Hat Guy, only Sven heard that. The flare apparently didn't care too much, it still kept hitting cars killing multiple people at once. Red Hat Guy tried to simply turn left to not drive straight off the cliff but the flare caught his vehicle brutally and didn't let him escape. The torturer was extremely mad at the flare he jumped on its neck and tried to strangle it. It didn't take much effort to the flare to simply knock him off. "No!" shouted Red Hat Guy seeing as the torturer was falling off. Red Hat Guy went crazy and started bumping into the flare.

Now everyone noticed the cliff they were about to fall off. Sven pressed the brake pedal just as every other vehicle did except Red Hat Guy's because his vehicle was grabbed. "Alright, screw this! You want to die, go on. I don't feel like dying right now!" Said Red Hat Guy to the flare and opened the vehicle's door and jumped away. Only after he jumped off the flare noticed the cliff. It tried to stop but its hand was stuck in the vehicle and the vehicle was hard to stop. "WRAAAAAAAH!!!" Screamed the flare as he was falling off the cliff.

The rest of the Phoenix vehicles were still there. Safoya took back her magnum from Blab, Blab got her flamethrower, Killy got his rifle. Sven left the vehicle with his magnum, the firefight continued. Killy was very accurate and killed most of the Phoenix soldiers. Sven and Safoya killed the rest. "No..." said Red Hat Guy quietly running in the direction of the torturer's dead body. "Oh cmon! You survived that stupid priest, you can't die like that!" screamed Red Hat Guy. When he reached to his body, he tried to wake him up. He didn't. He was dead. He softly punched him on his chest to show how angry he was. "That's it. Phoenix, you're dead!" Said Red Hat Guy approaching the dead body of a Phoenix soldier. He started kicking it. "You're dead! DEAD! I was the ONLY one allowed to kill him cause he was my cousin!! Hope you're ready...I sure do." said Red Hat Guy and spat on the Pheonix's dead body.

Killy saw that. "There's some data about Bruno here" said Red Hat Guy throwing a piece of metal in Killy's direction. "Tree Killers took him. All of this was pointless." "I'm sorry for your loss." said Killy quietly. "Don't mention it. We need to find Bruno."

Chapter 18 - Water & Russian Roulette

It passed several hours since the fight between Jack and Jim's father occurred. Jim kept questioning him why he wasn't bleeding after getting stabbed but Jack always avoided the subject. It didn't change Jim from questioning him again a few minutes later. Both were irritated from this constant repetition of events. Jim wanted answers and Jack wanted this questioning to stop at once. It stopped for a few hours when both went to sleep. It was night and Jim was pretty tired. Jack wasn't. Jack didn't sleep the entire night.

At morning, Jim decided to burry his father in one of the holes he himself dug. He dropped him in one of them. He was heavy and Jack wasn't helping, he was instead smoking his cigarette. When his father was finally inside of the hole, Jim spat inside of it. He then put sand to finish. He then came to Jack again and the questioning started again. "Why weren't you bleeding." Said Jim. Jack tried his best to not show his irritation, but he couldn't. "Why do you care?" answered Jack. This was his most aggressive answer yet. "If you aren't bleeding from a stab, you're not hurt. What if you would want to hurt me? I wouldn't be able to fight back! I need to know what is happening." said Jim. Jack threw his cigarette on the ground and stepped on it to stop the smoke.

"If I would want to hurt you, I would've done that way before. If I would want to hurt you, I wouldn't intervene in your dad's process of beating you up. And this questioning only makes me want to hurt you to shut you up once and for all. So if you're hunting trouble, you'll find it." Said Jack trying to scare Jim. Unlike his prediction, Jim wasn't scared at all. He didn't show any sort of emotion. A few seconds later, he walked back inside the house. A few minutes passed and Jim finally said from inside of the house. "We only have a few millilitres of water left." Jack didn't care, he wouldn't die of dehydration, he can't die at all. Although it is not very pleasant to live without water for a while. Jack noticed a small motorbike going in their direction. It had a box installed in the back of it. There's probably water inside thought Jack.

"The guy that brings water!" shouted Jim and started running in the motorbike's direction. The closer is came, the more suspicious the driver of the bike was. At some point he got close enough to understand who that was. At least what gang he was in. The bike stopped in front of the house. He opened the box and got a huge 10 litre bottle out of it. He gave it to Jim. He noticed the look on Jack's face. A certain mix of "I'll kill you right now" and "good to see you" were the Jack's emotions. "Hey there, tree killer!" said Jack grabbing the driver's hand. "And yes you are, only tree killers wear this costume..."

The driver tried to run but Jack was holding him too tight. Just for fun, Jack decided to release his hand to see him fall. That's exactly what happened. He released his hand and the tree killer fell on the ground. Jack put his leg on Tree Killer's back. "You know, I'd like to visit your little... base? Being here is just tiresome and boring. Just a house and a bunch of holes around it. Your... base... is gonna be way more fun to live in. Come on. Let's go!" said Jack and slightly kicked the tree killer in the back while he was still on the ground. "Please don't kill me!" screamed the tree killer while Jack was approaching his motorbike. "Jim, you have a premium place!" said Jack. "What?" asked Jim. "Yeah, get inside that box. You're the only one that could fit in it anyway!" said Jack, "and you, tree killer scum, you're gonna sit behind me on the bike..." the tree killer didn't move. "What you don't understand?! On the bike, now!" shouted Jack and the tree killer finally moved.

They were riding like this for a while. Jack got bored and the bike was very loud it became irritating quite soon. "Hey, I found a gun here" said Jim who was sitting inside the box. "A revolver! And there's one bullet inside!" "How convenient! Look, I'm way too bored now. Let's play a roulette shall we?" said Jack smiling and looked at the tree killer sadistically. "I'll break the ice, I'll go first. Jim, pass here!" Jim threw the revolver and Jack caught it. "Did you spin it?" asked Jack. "Yeah!" said Jim happily that it became almost scary. This kid was quite sadistic and certainly wanted one of them to die right now. Jack pointed the revolver at his head with one hand while driving the bike with the other. He pulled the trigger. It shot! "Ouch!!" screamed Jack and lost control of his bike. All three of them were sent flying and the bike exploded with them in the air. They soon landed on sand.

"You're crazy!" shouted the tree killer and started running away. Jack let him, no point in keeping him with them. Then Jack got up and noticed where the tree killer was running. The tree killer base. He soon realizing what was about to happen. "Hell no! No one's snitching on me!" Said Jack and started chasing the tree killer. "Hey wait! We can talk this all out!" Jim noticed that both of his "friends" were running and started chasing them. "Hey! Wait for me!" shouted Jim. "You are immortal! HE IS IMMORTAL!!" screamed the tree killer while running. "It's just a magic trick! I can explain! Just don't snitch on me!!!" shouted Jack getting closer and closer. When he was close enough, he jumped on him making the tree killer fall. "Don't snitch on me." said Jack. "Hey!" screamed Jim and jumped at Jack and the tree killer under him.

Chapter 19 - The Hunger

Sven took the piece of metal, which turned out to be a disk with an audio record on it, and put it inside the truck's radio. The record started: "So... What's the deal with me?" Everyone recognized Bruno's voice "I ask the questions" This voice sounded metallic, Red Hat Guy later said that this was Tree who talked, inside of his helmet. "Okay then, would you mind asking yourself what's your deal with him?" Sven recognized that voice, they got the assistant too?! Then there was a sound of something that was dropped, like if something fell. "You keep talking, I cut your tongue off. Tell me about the labyrinth of the flame bird." Is it the one that Bruno was talking about? That was obviously made up and he knew it, but the tree killers didn't. "What labyrinth?" after this question by Bruno, there was a sound of a punch and the record ended.

"They have some sort of base, we need to get there." said Louise. "Yeah but we'll be easily recognized!" added Blab. "The Tree Killers all wear a certain uniform, if only we had them it would be harder to figure out who we are." said Safoya. "What about Jack?" it has been a day since we left him behind!" said Killy. "You know Jack better than me, Killy, with a bit of luck he has already found the portal and is waiting for us." said the Red Hat Guy. "Then why not reverse the time right now?" asked Sven. "If he does this without us, only he would remember what happens in the future. We have two things to care of, the Phoenix's take over and Jack's and Louise's deaths. We need to all go through that portal if we plan to truly change things for the good." said Killy. "Bruno is never gonna believe us in the past, and he would be a powerful ally back there. Anyway, I know a place where we can acquire those tree killer uniforms. Let's go!"

Louise was now the one driving, they drove for a long while, Safoya even asked if they were lost a few times. "I'm pretty hungry. It's been a while since we ate last. Killy, we got anything?" asked Blab and after saying this, everyone felt the hunger. With all this adventuring, they almost forgot about it. Killy looked in boxes in the back of the truck and found some apples inside. That's the only food he found. He passed one to everyone and ate one himself. An apple is better than nothing, but it's still not the best thing. They hoped that when the arrive to the place, they're gonna be fed at least with something. After a painful two hours of driving, they finally arrived. At the sight of a house, Blab jumped off the truck ninja style doing a front flip, landing on her feet and then ran towards the house.

As soon as the truck stopped, everyone jumped off of it and ran towards the house. There was a man that came out of the house but as soon as he noticed a bunch of psychopaths running in his way like crazy, he got back in and locked the door hoping to keep those people out, that didn't work because Blab jumped in the house's window that was open. The man screamed of fear but Blab ignored it. She looked around and noticed a table on which there were cookies for some pointless reason. She came to it and took all the cookies. "Open up!!" screamed others on the other side of the door. The man was so dramatized that he didn't know how to react. "Cmon, Rick! Open up!" said the Red Hat Guy on the other side. Surprisingly enough, the man recognized the voice and wasn't horrified anymore. He slowly came to the door and opened it. Just like Blab, everyone ran crazy inside the house.

"Do you have anything edible here?" asked Safoya that while saying this, Rick thought that if he said no, she would hang him with a sweatshirt alive, so he said "Yes, there is some food in the fridge out there." With that being said, everyone ran towards the kitchen, except Blab who was devouring her cookies. A few minutes later, when everyone finally ate properly, Red Hat Guy said "We need the Tree Killer costumes." Rick was too scared of the people that came into his house, so he just came into a room and took some Tree Killer uniforms for everyone. They all put those on and were pretty satisfied with what was given to them. The costumes were very well made. Red Hat Guy was about to thank Rick for the food and the clothing but Rick ran away from the house as far as possible. "We went crazy because we were hungry, that's all! Come on, we don't bite!" said RHG but then he looked behind him and realized what Rick was scared of. The Tree Killer ship. As soon as everyone realized, they all started running away from the house as fast as possible.

The ship shot the house and it exploded into a million pieces. Killy ran to the truck to take his sniper rifle and started shooting the ship. "Bruno is inside!!!" shouted Sven shooting at the ship. The ship apparently ignored them but it shot the truck. And it flew away. There was no way of chasing it now. "Come back you cowards!" shouted Sven. "Bring your big guns at me, you stupid assassins!"

Chapter 20 - The infiltration

Jack took off the tree killer's clothes and put it on himself. He thought it was quite ugly and regret putting it on but Jim said that it wasn't as bad, Jack disagreed. The tree killer was asleep while Jack was taking the Tree Killer clothes. Jack said that he will go inside the Tree Killer base to get some food for Jim and told Jim to stay with the Tree killer and that when he wakes up, to knock him out again. Jim listened and sat on the Tree Killer. It didn't make him wake up.

Jack went in. There was a giant gate that was already open. Jack entered through it unaware of anything. He thought that maybe there aren't any gate guards at all. He was wrong, as soon as he got in, two guards stopped him. "You can't pass if you're a citizen of the town to the west." said one of the guards. Jack didn't know what town he was talking about, but he wasn't its citizen so he said "I'm deeply sorry, I didn't know. If I see one, I shall tell you immediately." He tried to pass by but they stopped him. "Your ID card." Jack didn't have any ID. "For God's sake, let him in! We have a card game to finish! He has his uniform, calm down!" said someone nearby sitting infront of a table with cards on it. The two guards let him go. "Don't make any trouble"

The base looked like a very small town. It had a bar and a shop but in this particular "town" everyone wore the Tree Killer uniform. Everyone did, men, women, children, everyone. "Tree Killman arrives!!" shouted one of gate guards. After this shout, everyone looked up to see the tree killer ship. It was quite huge. "We're gonna find the labyrinth of the flame bird!!" Shouted everyone simultaneously. "What?" asked Jack to one of the Tree Killer citizens next to him. "The labyrinth of the flame bird! We're gonna find extremely powerful weapons!" answered the Tree Killer. Jack knew that thing was made up, but it seemed like the Tree Killers truly believed that it existed. The ship landed and the Tree Killer soldiers came out of the ship. Then came out Tree. Someone was infront of him. "The hell are you doing here, Bruno?" Thought Jack.

Tree made Bruno go infront of him. They weren't walking very fast so it was easy for Jack to catch up. He kept his distance with Tree to not get noticed. While following them, Jack heard a guard woman screaming. "No pedophiles are welcome inside!" Jack looked at the scene and saw the Tree Killer he took the clothes from (and the Tree Killer only had the underwear on him now) and him holding Jim. "I ain't no pedophile!" said the Tree Killer angrily. The woman pushed the Tree Killer and took Jim by the hand and pulled him away from him. "I'm a Tree Killer, except my uniform got stolen! This kid is the thief's complice. Here's my ID card!" said the Tree Killer putting his ID in the air for everyone to be able to see.

Jim got grabbed and taken away. "Have some nice sleep in our cage for thieves!" said the person that took him away. Jack decided to get Bruno out first, to get Jim out, you'll only need a key to open the damn cage, and everyone already knows what Jim looks like, it's better to start with Bruno. He was following Tree Killman as they were going. During this, Jim fought back and eventually the guard let him slip out of his hands. He ran around and noticed Jack. He then screamed "Jack! Help!" And then he got grabbed again. Tree heard this. "Ah, cmon. That's unfair! You have this skill thing that makes you feel things. Give me a chance at least." said Jack. "Jack?" Said Bruno looking in Jack's direction. "It's the guy who stole my clothes!" Screamed the Tree Killer who was still naked without his uniform. Tree looked in Jack's direction as well. "God's sake..."

"I thought I said to never show up again." Said Tree in his electric voice. "And I thought that between us two, I'm the one who can't die so give me one reason to listen to you." Said Jack. "You wouldn't feel pain." said Tree Killman. You could hear people around them saying "ooh" encouraging Tree Killman. "Valid point... but do you know that the only guy who knows where the labyrinth of the flame bird is, is this guy?" said Jack pointing the revolver he played Russian Roulette with at Bruno. "What the?" said Bruno nervously. "Uh huh. If you do one thing to me, the only valuable source is gonna be gone." said Jack. At this moment, the assistant left the ship as well. He saw that Jack is pointing the revolver at Bruno. "Don't you dare touching my friend!" the assistant ran in Jack's direction. Jack noticed that and carelessly pointed the gun at the assistant and pulled the trigger. He missed. He tried to shoot again but the gun was out of ammo.

The assistant jumped on Jack and made him fall. Tree approached Jack. "You know what I don't like about people like you?" "What?" said Jack carelessly because he already knew that he is pretty much dead. "The fact that they're about to let their friend die just for their own sake." said Tree. Jack started laughing. "Welcome to the real world, man. It has changed. It always changes. But blind people, like you, they stay the same." After Jack said this, Tree took his helmet off showing his face. His eyes were missing. "Your eyes are fantastic." said Jack and Tree kicked him in the throat.

Blind people don't change...

Chapter 21 - Betrayal

It started to get darker and it started to become cold. The weren't freezing because the house's ruins were burning not far from there. "We can't stay here forever" said Safoya "We gotta find some way to get out of this place, let's check in the ruins, maybe something useful survived in there." Louise and Safoya started digging in the ruins in hopes of finding some communication device. "I should've listened to Tree Killman when he told me to stop selling Tree Killer uniforms..." said Rick in the distance. "I shouldn't have tried to trick his powers..." said Rick approaching the house's ruins. "It's here I was born... And it's here I'll die." finished Rick. "And that risks to be the case if you don't help!" said Louise.

Rick helped them however he was sure it was hopeless. Nothing could survive the lasers of a Tree Killer ship. Maybe the roof took most of the damage? The fire was a difficult obstacle to overcome, Blab tried to take some of the fire out with sand but it wasn't very efficient. Rick pointed out that the Tree Killer uniforms that they're wearing are fireproof unlike most of the Tree Killer costumes, that changed everything. Louise and Safoya fearlessly went through the burning ruins of Rick's house without feeling a thing. Sadly, Rick didn't have this costume on so he stood outside. "Hey, what is this?" asked Safoya looking at something metallic and broken. Louise came closer to see. It was a communication device.
They shown Rick the device and it was almost completely broken. "Cmon, you're our only shot now!" said Rick to the device as if it was alive. He pressed some buttons in hope that something would happen. The only thing that happened was the sound of "brshgvdf" everytime he pressed anything. "So it's not THAT broken, huh?" asked Sven getting closer. "I have no clue how it survived so well, but if the buttons actually make any noise it means that it can be fixed easily and even be used once or twice before it dies completely." said Sven gladly. "Sadly, we ain't got nothing to fix it with though. So I guess you could send a distress message to one of your friends Rick so that they help us out." finished Sven. "Make it quick though"

Rick pressed a button to start his message and the weird broken sound started. "It's fine, just say that you need help." Sven said. Rick started talking despite the noise in the background. "Henry, we need help. Bring your Van here please it's an emergency. The Tree Killers screwed us over, come here soon. Rick, ended." said Rick and released the button. The device died a few minutes later. Rick kept holding it tight hoping that his friend received his message, because if he didn't, they're gonna die somehow. Either it will be a flare, or they'll just die of thirst. The outcome was in his friend's hands now.

They waited for him for a long time. Hopes of surviving this started to disappear. The first one to lose hope was the Red Hat Guy. He just sat on the ground drawing things on sand. Then Killy lost hope as well decided to look around to find something that will make them live longer. The last person to lose hope was Rick himself. He kept holding the device in his hands. "Hey! It's a van!" screamed Killy pointing at the vehicle in the distance. Rick became extremely happy. The closer the van was getting the scarier it was for Sven and others. It felt as if the van came here to kill them. "Rick! Get inside!" screamed the man inside the Van. "Quick! I'm gonna kill those Tree Killer twats!" Apparently the Van's driver thought that Sven and others were Tree Killers that "screwed them over." The driver clearly didn't think twice before stopping his van and shooting everywhere.

"Henry, what are you doing?!" Asked Rick trying to stop Henry from shooting everyone. "Saving you from the tree killers!" answered Henry. "They're not the Tree Killers!" shouted Rick trying to take the gun from Henry's hands. "What?" asked Henry confused. Louise explained the situation and what has happened. She also told him that they need to get to the Tree Killer base as soon as possible. Henry turned out to be a lot friendlier than he seemed before. He happily accepted to get them to the Tree Killer base with his van. They all got in it and drove to the Tree Killer base.

Upon arrival, Killy said that going through the main gate is too risky and that it'll be better to go over the wall. Henry even gave them a rope. The walls weren't too high so it was easy to climb over the wall with the rope. Surprisingly enough, there weren't any guards nearby on the other side of the wall. So they easily jumped in one by one. Rick jumped down last with Henry. When they got down they looked around for any possible threats. They ignored the main threat for now. Rick put his gun at the back of Sven's head and Henry took Red Hat Guy hostage.

Chapter 22 - Out of the barrel

"You damn traitors!" said Red Hat Guy. "You don't understand anything do you? There is nothing you can do anymore! Tree Killman will soon find out where the Labyrinth of the Flame Bird is and the Tree Killers will be the most dangerous group with all the weaponry they're going to have!" said Rick. "It doesn't exist, for god's sake!" said Sven. "Shut up!" Shouted Rick and hit Sven's head with the gun. "They already got three of your guys!" said Henry. "Three?" asked Killy. Louise looked behind her and saw shadows of Tree Killer soldiers coming this way so without long thinking, Louise took the closest rock to her and threw it in Henry's face. "Ow!" said Henry in pain, Rick was distracted by this and Sven used the opportunity to push Rick on the ground and Red Hat Guy, while Henry was still hurt by the rock, punched him and knocked him out. Sven, while Rick was on the ground, Sven knocked him out by kicking him in the face. "Quick! Hide the bodies before they get here!" said Louise making everyone look in the direction of the soldier's shadows.

They put them into barrels nearby as fast as possible. Both of them fit into one barrel, so it was perfect. The tree killer soldiers shown up and walked by without any suspicions. "Phew!" said Red Hat Guy. "He said they got three of our guys, the first one is Bruno and the second one is my assistant. Who's the third guy?" asked Killy. Silence. "I really hope it's not who I think it is" said Killy. "I vote that we split up, if we all go alone in different directions it will be less suspicious." They agreed, Killy climbed on top of one of the buildings, Blab did the same on the other one of the buildings. The rest stood on the ground wandering around the city trying to find out where Bruno and others.

They walk around like this for a little while, Louise decided to ask one of the soldiers where they keep their prisoners. "Secret info, it's not the type of information you just say to one of the citizens like this." said the Soldier. "You won't tell even to me?" said Louise making puppy eyes. "No, you're not that beautiful anyway. You're ugly, go away!" Louise was surprised by this behaviour and became really mad. "Wanna see something?" asked Louise to the soldier walking in a dark street where there was no one. The soldier followed her, irritated. "What is it?" when both of them went in the dark street, Louise hit the soldier from behind. "Ow!" said the soldier falling on the ground, he tried to get up but Louise put her foot on the soldier's head. "Now, you'll tell me where you guys keep your prisoners, or I'll make you just as ugly as I am."

Killy was walking on the roofs jumping from one spot to the other. While climbing, he saw a tower with no one inside. He got inside and looked around. From what he could tell, it was just an another guard tower. "Looking for something?" asked someone behind him. Killy turned around and saw a huge and heavy man infront of him. "Trespassing is punishable, you're no exception." said the man shown his huge fists to Killy. The man tried to punch Killy, but he rolled out of the way and kicked him in the back. It didn't affect him at all, he wasn't hurt at all. He quickly turned around and grabbed Killy's foot and threw him off the tower. "Aaah!" shouted Killy while falling. He landed on the ground nearly dead.

"So, I'm gonna ask nicely once. Where do you keep your prisoners?" asked Louise. "Leave me alone you freak!" answered the soldier. In response, the soldier received a kick in his back. "Wrong answer, second attempt?" said Louise. "You think I'll break?" said the soldier. "You're right, maybe I should hit you harder." said Louise and took a wooden box nearby and hit the soldier with it. She realized soon she knocked him out. "Dammit." she looked in the soldier's pockets if there are any clues. Nothing. "What are you doing here?" asked Sven walking by. "Trying to find out where they may be holding Bruno." answered Louise. "I think I hit him a little too hard." "There you are!" said Rick with some Tree Killer soldiers with him.

Red Hat guy was walking around. He saw a tower of some sort and saw someone on the ground right next to the tower. He recognized Henry who was sitting next to the guy and someone very fat standing next to them. He soon recognized Killy as well. "Hey, he's also one of them!" said Henry looking at Red Hat Guy. "Ehm, no." said Red Hat Guy laughing nervously and slowly walking away. He looked behind him and saw Henry running for him, so naturally, he started running as well. While running, he saw Safoya. "Stop him, do anything!" said Red Hat Guy still running. She spotted Henry, she pulled her magnum out and aimed the gun at him but he hit her and she fell on the ground. She was soon grabbed by the heavy man.

"Dang it!" shouted Red Hat Guy still running. Blab, who was on the roofs, heard Red Hat Guy screaming like crazy. "We took all of your friends." said Rick behind her. "Give up" "Nope, not all." said Blab and jumped down to Red Hat Guy. "Aaah!" screamed Red Hat Guy when Blab appeared. "Calm down! See this vehicle?" asked Blab pointing her finger at the car at their right. "Yeah" said Red Hat Guy. "Get in!"' said Blab and opened the car's door, Red Hat Guy got in from the other side. Blab started the engine and started driving away from this place. Henry shot repeatedly at the car and broke some of the car's windows, but they drove away. "Should've locked the damn barrels." said Red Hat Guy

Nom-nom-nom... oh yeah the story. I may make start making the chapters less often now that I make videos too and I have exams and shit, so yeah. Please reply so my thing can continue and enjoy. :) Also, the end of it is coming soon, it has a fun moment in it so yeah, keep an eye on that.

Chapter 23 - Slaves

Red Hat Guy and Blab managed to drive out of the base, but the Tree Killers didn't want to give up. Most of them picked up explosives and rocket launchers and started aiming them at the car Blab and RHG were in. The shots weren't very accurate, but it was still scary to know that one of them may actually get them. One of the Tree Killers shot in the car's direction very accurately, it made Blab turn the car to the west to dodge the hit. "That was close!" said Blab. All the other rockets were mostly misses so no turns were needed to escape, they were driving to the west now.

Sven, Louise, Safoya and Killy were brought to the Tree Killer cells. "Hey!" said someone in the distance who's voice was familiar. "I thought it'll be a little more interesting than that! I thought that you wouldn't get caught so easily." said Jack who was sitting in one of the cells. "Jack..." said Sven. "If my memory is correct there is supposed to be six losers, but I only see four." said Jack again. "Why losers?" asked Louise. "Because I thought the word "traitors" didn't sound insulting enough! You left me out there, did any of you even consider to come looking for me?" asked Jack angrily. "I did" said Killy. "We thought you wouldn't mind..." said Safoya.

"Silence!" said a soldier behind Killy who was the one that brought them here. He put each of them in their own individual cells and locked them. After locking everyone up, the soldier left the place. "Bruno, your two special snowflakes came here" said Jack. "Bruno is here!" thought Sven. "What do you mean?" asked Bruno. "I mean that your two Phoenix guys are locked in here." said Jack. "Sven and Safoya?" asked Bruno. "Yes, we're here." said Sven. Then they heard steps going here. "Ladies and Gentlemen, here's Killman the great, Killman the magestic!" said Jack, Tree Killman ignored him. He focused on Bruno. "The labyrinth doesn't exist." said the assistant who was also sitting in one of the cells. Tree didn't listen, he opened Bruno's cell door and entered inside.

"Driving in the unknown direction without any knowledge of the local territory, in a desert, with nothing. It will end great!" said Red Hat Guy. "Any suggestions?" asked Blab. "What suggestions?" "On how to find out where we're going?" asked Blab. "No, not really... hey what's that?" said Red Hat Guy looking forward. It was a mining town. "Tree Killer's mining town. Wow." said Blab. While getting closer, they realized that it wasn't the Tree Killers who were working, but others. They seemed like slaves. They got inside of the mining town. They didn't look suspicious because they had the Tree Killer uniforms on. What they found inside were people working, tired, and the Tree Killers making them work harder by hitting them.

"This is a good opportunity to look like saints and get our guys from trouble." said Red Hat Guy. "What?" asked Blab. "Look at the amount of slaves and compare them to the amount of Tree Killers. If we free those guys and convince them to fight against the Tree Killers, this is gonna be something..." said Red Hat Guy. "I'm gonna have my fun freeing them over here, and you can have yours there." said Red Hat Guy pointing fingers in two directions. "We free a bunch, then they free others, and you have a fun little massacre. And if you give them a weapon..." said Red Hat a Guy pointing his finger at a cart filled with dynamite "...the process will be 10 times more efficient. Then we'll attack the Tree Killer base." said Red Hat Guy and went towards "his fun." Blab went to her's.

She saw one guard with keys looking on 10 of his workers digging. No one was paying attention so it was easy to knock the guard out and free the workers. "Now that you're free, pick up anything that could be used as a weapon and free the others. We'll take over this place." said Blab. "You're not one of them?" asked one of the workers. Blab took off the Tree Killer uniform. "No, now go!" said Blab and the workers ran attacking the slavers. Everything went just like Red Hat Guy predicted. Soon, the mining town has been taken over. "Now, gentlemen, let's take revenge on Tree Killman!" said Red Hat Guy who also took off his Tree Killer uniform. "YEEAAH!!!" shouted the workers and took all the weapons available. They also found Tree Killer vehicles, so they would get to the Tree Killer base faster.

Hours passed in the cells. "Where is the labyrinth?!" asked Tree Killman and hit Bruno again. He was bleeding from his mouth. "Dude, you don't understand the difference between "exists" and "doesn't exist" do you?" asked Jack. "It exists. I know that!" said Tree and hit Bruno again. "Go on Tree, but you won't get the thing out of him that he doesn't have." said Jack. "It's already the night. Don't worry, I still have plenty of time. Maybe you didn't break this time, you'll break the next one. I will rid the world of Phoenix." said Tree and left. "Shit." said Bruno. "At some point, this freak will kill me, we need to get out of here." when Bruno finished saying that, the ground started to shake and people started screaming from the outside.
