My Problems with LGBT

A lot more than the MLP forum I have.


But really, not much. Trust me, I've read all the comments.

 

Because its contradicting to say stereotyping is bad and terrible. (My example was stereotyping against muslims being terrorist)
but then also stereotype straights by saying they are evil because some of them have shown hate to you.

Basicly they say that its not okay to stereotype but then later stereotype others. Its hypocritical and contradicting.

One of my problems with the LGBT community is some of them have started insulting straight people, and when you ask them why, they will tell you "They did the same thing before!!"

I don't think I have to say how stupid that is.

Honestly you it should just be LGB or something, like being transgender is more of a...a...meh, I'm not going to say it on the forums. Asexuality, what? Just because you are not attracted to anyone does not mean you are "asexual" it just means you need to lower your standards or something. Pansexuality is basically being bisexual. According to Google it is "being attracted to anyone of any gender and loving them for them". There are only two genders so your preference/choices would be the same as bisexuality. That is my opinion on it.

I have to agree here. I have a friend who calls us straights/cis "boring". Ok I don't give a crap if you were joking because that is just rude. It's like saying you guys were "sexual" as a joke. Besides, you get offended if I make a joke regarding YOUR sexuality. So don't come at me with that "Because you're boring" crap because sexuality does NOT define personality.

Also, MANY people call straights "evil" because of the 1% that discriminates against the LGBT community.
I myself don't approve of being in a homosexual relationship and believe that there are only 2 genders, but once I say that people consider me a homophobic transphobic freak who should die a slow and painful death.

Back to the theme of the thread, I think that LGBTQAP+ is a tad too long, don't ya think? It's like doing LGBTQAPDBDGI+ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans Queer Asexual Pansexual DemiBoy DemiGirl Intersex +) But maybe it'd work out, idk :3

I respect and believe that you can identify as anything you feel, bigender, genderfluid, and so on and so forth. If that is what you feel, you are allowed to feel that way. Don't let anyone bring you down.
If you are asexual, you're apart of the community too! You're allowed to feel however you want.
If you're comfortable, find a label that suits you! And if you don't want to or feel comfortable to label yourself, you don't have to! Don't let others tell you how to feel, or how to label yourself. You are the only one that can address your feelings.
I love when people say straight people are oppressed when they are the complete opposite. It's not illegal for you to be heterosexual in any countries, you're not killed for just being straight, you aren't constantly put down for your sexuality, and so on and so forth.
Being the cis and straight isn't bad, and please don't ever think that you're evil for being so. It's just funny to me when people say that straight people are oppressed and underrepresented(it's literally everywhere) Straight/Cis people(people whom are not trans) are represented all the time in media, maybe not in the correct ways sometimes but still.
I don’t give a crap what you look like. If you tell me you’re a woman, then you’re a woman. If you tell me you’re a man, then you’re a man. If you tell me you’re more than one gender or non-binary or agender or anything else, then that’s what you are. That’s your call to make, not mine.
If you’re not telling the truth for some reason, I’ll still respect that, because I understand that it’s sometimes easier to misgender yourself than to endanger yourself, or maybe you’re just not comfortable coming out to me or the other people around you. Again, your call.
And if the next time we meet you tell me you’re a different gender, then guess what! I’m going to respect that, too.
just a note i strongly dislike using the word cis because i feel it has a negative conotation to it and i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Wait how can one not have a gender.... That's just not possible. That's like saying I dont have an age or I don't have a race. This is why sometimes it can be confusing and hard to really support the entire LGBT community. Like there are parts I totally agree with but others just don't even make sense.

 

I don't speak on behalf of nonbinary/agender people but I understand what it feels like. (because I'm demigender, nonbinary and male) It's okay if you don't understand! there are a lot of people whom don't understand. It's hard for me to explain but I'll do my best. There are people whom just feel they don't fit in your typical gender binary of male and female. They're in the middle perhaps that's for them to decide. "Those with non-binary genders can feel that they: Have an androgynous (both masculine and feminine) gender identity, such as androgyne. Have an identity between male and female Have a neutral or non-existant gender identity, such as agender or neutrois."
It takes a while to understand a lot of things, but the best thing in my opinion is to be okay with it and not say it doesn't exist. Because that seems really invalidating, and we don't want to go around and tell people they don't exist do we? No we don't haha. Age and race are something we cannot decide, or feel (well we can feel age but you know what I am trying to say) but our gender/gender identity....we can! Some more than others sometimes. If you need help understanding certain things, you can just ask me and I'll answer any questions to the best of my abilities! :)

You can have your own opinions and things like that but if it's against the entire community, and dehumanizes people, and just shames their existence....it's not really any opinion anymore. It's more of hate speech and you being an a-hole.(I'm extending boundaries by using words like that but it's the only thing that could come to mind.) Just saying.
