false items being sold in chest shop

on my chest i had a shop sign diamond iron and so on to sell items for money. instead of the person sellung me the items they sold me webs.
webs that had name tage on them. end result lost money and got junk.

This isn't really a bug, this person scammed you.
You should make a report with proof here.

Yes, it is scamming but the chest shouldn't have done that.
To my understanding the player changed the web's name to that of diamond and the chest accepted it as diamond, whereas it was not.

 

Ah, I apologize. I misread the thread.

 

The scam is not a bug, however changing the name of an item to sell in a chest is, so that could be changed. :)
