* I already know, somebody has already made a thread about flame wars and other inappropriate items on the Creative servers. Recently, threats have been made, and it is getting out of hand. As my concern from me to any staff out there, please understand I am aware of trollers. This is turning into a serious issue, and it needs to stop. * This needs to stop. Flame wars, battles, all of the horrible things you can think of, in all chat? What are flame wars? A flame war is a battle between two or more teams in which they flame each other (flame; 1) to make fun of somebody for who they are, look, or where they are. 2) To make a person distressed about something in their life. 3) A fire.) over and over again until it gets out of hand. Most likely there are at least 2 people on each side. Example Of A "Flame War": "FNaF is way better than Undertale!" says player (x) "Not true! Undertale is way better!" says player (y) "At least FNaF has a better storyline!" says player (x) "Be quiet!" says player (a) "Undertale is overrated" says player (b) "Undertale is way better, it is more vibrant and fun to play. FNaF is just boring to play." says player (y). Normally, the flame war ends after 30 minutes of it happening. What are battles? A battle is only between two players in which one player is believed to be better than the other for skin color, race, looks or other nasty items. (racism; the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.) Rarely seen, but normally not found in all chat. Example Of A "Battle": "I hate you!" says player (x) "I hate you too!" says player (y) "At least I am not black like you!" says player (x) "Shut up, you potato with eyes!" says player (y). (These are true fights in all chat) Stand up to stopping this madness! *Note, I am not saying to GET INVOLVED, I am saying to stay out of it so nobody gets the attention they are aiming for. ~Zayniku.
Thanks for creds, lol. I think you said it much better than I did. This really does need to stop. It's one of the few things that plague our community, and it can really be annoying to normal players. Thank you for making this thread.
I agree 100% with this thread, but 'flame wars' can't be stopped that easily. The same thing with the drama in chat. This is the internet. Stuff we say that could be partaken as a joke, and could actually be serious. The same thing for the opposite. Usually these wars start because of little things, a game perhaps. I saw you quote 'FNAF, and 'Undertale', and I see multiple arguments about these topics. The thing is, the players alone can't stop it. That's why we have a staff team, to keep the server safe. If we go around trying to break these fights up, we'll eventually get warned for 'Mini-Modding'. Honestly, if you see people having a 'fight', consult a staff. Getting involved means no good; it usually makes the situation worse.
They should leave that crud in ./msg But yea Flame Wars are pretty much makes drama, and we all know everyone loves drama bleh. I hate drama, why can't we just get along?
Agreed. I'm not saying to start them, I said to stop them. If anything, stay out of them. *But if anything- I would reccomend reaching out to a helper.
IKR it's like "/msg each other of shut the fuck up" and it's so annoying. Nothing we can do to stop it sadly, apart from encourage them not to.
If we worked hard enough, we may be able to lower the amount of flame wars here. But the only server I think that is unstoppable from that is Parkour because people are raging 24/7. Wish people would have a more positive outlook on life.
