Untalented rich kids getting a small loan of popularity. (Musical.ly)

Surprisingly enough, this is my opinion.
Don't get your "Ariel is the best!" in a twist.

So if the steam story about it going mental wasn't enough, I've discovered a rather scary type of creation. And this creation is called Musical.Ly.

Alright, musical.ly isn't anything complicated. It's just you recording yourself with the music in the background. And it doesn't sound so terrible, does it? Well, yeah... I mean if it wouldn't be 12 year olds who use it it maybe wouldn't be as cancerous as it is. The problem is, the 12 year olds are using it.

So I went to check who are the "most famous" people on this app. And I found... this:

Jesus Christ... But this is not the worst part. The worst part is, by doing virtually nothing, she's getting hundreds of thousands of fans. Thus earning a shit ton of money...

Apparently, she's EXTREMELY popular. Because she ended up making her own "official" site

And the scariest thing is, she's not alone. There are quite a lot of people like her doing this.

In short, Musical.ly has created 3 things.
1-A cringe farm
2-Stupid Websites
3-A new generation of rich kids

Like really, there were always untalented people that were popular. But musical.ly just took it to the next level. Instead of a few untalented singers, now we have an army of untalented kids that make an incredible amount of money doing virtually NOTHING. Just watch this:



The only thing they're doing is moving randomly... "dancing" and lip syncing... trying to.
So, yeah. That's what I think of this. What do you think of this yourself?

 

I love how the movements have nothing to do with the actual songs. Dem lips doe. Is this trying to look like a crazy serial killer?

I actually liked the video. She seems like a nice person and tbh it seems hard to lip sync to the lyrics spot on like that.

I could see your point though, it does seem easy, but I'm sure it's not. I wouldn't be able to do all the movements and stuff she does and memorize the lyrics like she does.

I think she is doing a pretty good job.

No talent is needed for money anymore, I mean look at youtube.

Joseph you don't understand, people spend their life going to work for example my dad. I live in NJ and my dad drives to work to NY every day (2 hours) comes back home at around 7. She probably make more money from doing this.

 

i honestly love musical.ly . its really fun to make these kind of videos. people dont always do this for popularity reasons, some people (like myself) enjoy making lipsync videos. i agree with a few of the things you said though. musical.ly us full of annoying little kids trying to be cool, but that's not the whole app.another reason why she (and many other people) are famous on musical.ly is because of their looks.

just let them have fun. maybe if you tried the app instead of immediately bashing it, you would see the fun in it.

True, I mean look how many hours my mother works: 10 hours (including lunch time), for 5 days every week.
She probably gets a lot less money than this girl, who is just copying the sounds of Famous people (it isn't even creative, I mean you're copying other singers).
I actually agree that nowadays it's so easy to make money by doing literally nothing. (I could've said something, but since there are younger ones here, I won't)
I think this is very unfair to everyone else around the world that is actually doing an Important Job. I mean, look at Medics, without them you can't even be alive, without them we would've been dead for a long time. Also, look at Teachers, without them we couldn't learn and they get so poorly paid.
Hell, even garbagge men are important, because they clean our streets and make everything perfect.
This girl? What is she doing? She's just *COPYING* other singers and doing something completely desnecessary.

I mean, also you guys are saying that you guys aren't able to move your lips like she does, but you just got to think that she has done it many times, so she knows how to do that... It's not hard with practice.

Edit: I don't want to be rude or anything to anyone, and I'm sorry if I offended anyone, I'm just stating my opinion and I think things like this should change..

Okay, okay, okay so I got on youtube and looked up baby ariel. She is actually a really nice person, and a really good big sister. She started a channel for her brother, and helps him upload videos. btw she is 16.

CRINGE WORTHY!

 

How is it fair that these people get money easily, but there are people out there who work their whole life and never make as much as these people do? My grandfather came from a very poor family, but he took his education very seriously, and worked for 35 years until he became the owner of a metalworks factory, and he probably still doesn't earn as much income as these people do. This is why people don't like others like this, or even people like Pewdiepie, because they don't do anything, but they're rich, and make more money than people who actually work hard.

 

That kid is hideous, especially when he is trying to make a face like this
