Before I saw the trailer, I saw the like-dislike ratio, and I realized Sony dun-fucked up. The trailer was horrible, by horribly referencing the original movie, and I'm not afraid to admit that I have a problem with the new cast being all female. The original cast had magic, because the actors perfectly fit the roles, and Harold Ramis wrote an awesome script. The new Ghostbusters has a female cast of third-tier actors who don't seem to be very funny (also, any Ghostbuster movie without Bill Murray is NOT Ghostbusters). The director seems to know nothing about the original. I feel that the new movie spits on the old one, and on Ramis's grave.
I kind of didn't have faith from when I first heard about it, you just can't top something like the original Ghostbusters.
I didn't like the sound of it when I first heard that a new Ghostbusters was in production, but now that I've seen the trailer I dislike it even more. You just can't top the 1987 classic (Not even going to mention Ghostbusters 2, that was just.. no.), it's impossible.
No good 80s ghost feel. The reboot happened way to late. Ghostbusters 3 woulda been better than this, but worse than Ghostbusters 2. Ghostbusters 1 was the best. This reboot will be like the Halloween movies, the poor comedy in it will make me cringe a lot. Jeez. Sony what have you done.
I bet this new ghostbusters is going to fail just as much as the Tristar Godzilla 1998 will. :I I feel pretty sad too, Ghostbusters was a cult classic of the 80s, and now it seems Sony raped the name. Sometimes, its best if some franchises are left the way they are. let them be classics
Not only did Sony ruin the movie, but they seem to be making this movie to appease the crazy feminists. Sony is even going as far as deleting YouTube comments criticizing the trailer.
I think they should've left the original. The new one seems to almost make fun of the old one with the new style of humor.
So far, even feminists seem not to like it because the black character is not a scientist I never watched the entire 87 version, so I don't really have an opinion on either...
