Why isn't there an option for none of the above?
I'm not even American and I feel bad that ALL of them are terrible candidates. The hard part is just figuring out who is least terrible.

 

Completely agree, all of the candidates aren't perfect. Competent politicians are rare now. What we really need, is someone like Lincoln or JFK, not another Bush or Reagan.

 

Reagan was a necessary president when the Soviet Union existed, but now, we don't need someone like him, we need someone who's not afraid to make a change, someone who is confident in his decision, someone who keeps their promise. Lincoln and JFK changed our country to make it better, they fought for the minorities, the people who couldn't defend themselves, they weren't afraid to step forward, disregard the criticism, and change our country, and for their hard work and effort, they got assassinated. People need to aspire to be like them. Our country needs people like them.

 

It scares my that Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are winning this and the real polls. This is why...

1. Donald Trump: I don't have to say much. why would anyone vote for Trump he is insane!

2. Bernie Sanders: People get mad at Obama, because they think he is a Socialist, and Obama denies this. Sanders flat out says "IM A SOCIALIST" why would we want a socialist as our president, there is no way that is going to turn on good, we absolutely cannot elect this guy. People like Sanders because he is going to pay for our college tuition, do you know how he to going to pay for that? RAISE THE DAM TAXES!!

 

Because America HAS to have a president it isn't optional. Barack Obama cannot run for a 3rd term.

 

I challenge you to keep an open mind and define "democratic socialist" the way Bernie Sanders did. Sanders' declaration was bad publicity, sure. But that doesn't mean he or his philosophies are bad, necessarily.

 

Same with Donald Trump, he may have said stuff that got him bad publicity, but that doesn't mean his philosophies are bad.

Except when Donald Trump does ONE single thing bad. It goes around the entire internet and basically becomes a meme and he begins to look like a comedy figure rather than a politician, all because of mainstream media.

 

Okay most people view Donald Trump as "the bad a** who will destroy America."(or at least that is how he is viewed at my school).
However him being selected president would not be that bad. However like everyone he has his ups and downs.

Donald Trump is a great negotiator, and is great with money. So he can definitely heal our economy.
Higher taxes? Could be. However would you rather have our country be in more debt or pay a few extra cents on taxes? I'll let you decide.

Now like I said he also has his downs(like Bernie). Trump has made some racial comments on twitter or whatever. Calling people "losers"(which is something I am not looking for in a president), being accused of not being trustworthy, and yes despite being good in finance. He has made a few bad financial decisions.

That is all I got to say about this while Trump thing. (please no flame, this is truly MY opinion. I am not no political person who examines every single candidate, I am just giving my opinion.) :)

 

It's hard to tell whether or not a politician is lying. We've seen too many times, politicians not keeping their promises when they become president, take Bush for example. Some politicians build a good image to get elected, then show their true colors when they win.
