Some poeple tell me that wikipedia isn't reliable for that reason.... now I can counter their reason! THANKS! :D
And how is that supposed to stop other's from changing documents. The police aren't going to arrest someone just because they edited wikipedia. Also, the people who edit are not professionals and the information could be false.
If you want to search information in the Internet, where do you go other then Wikipedia? FACEBOOK? (jk)
You go to a place where the given information is not accessible for everyone to edit. In our school, Wikipedia is not recommended for history reports, presentations, etc. We're going off topic, so lets stop.
People would be giving up their information on where they live. In fact, if you lived near that person who edited it, then you have a chance of being able to go to their door and slap their face until they realize how dumb they were. Wikipedia is a tracked website, in which authority tracks it too. Some pages are not able to be edited anyways. hue. 3: and btw, you can always contact wikipedia to fix it, to the previous person who edited it.
We're going off topic again, but meh. I'm not talking about acting like an idiot. I'm talking about false information. No one would notice if 1990 was 1980. But for people doing projects, and reports, this information is crucial. Due to any person being able to edit, they could accidentally make false information. I'm not saying WikiPedia is completely useless, just that you should have another resource to use as backup.
