My Another Try: Time Travel

Hello!

I've discussed this with @LouiseXminerX and a few other friends. They all agreed so I decided to do it. This is a story. What's so special about it? Nothing. The only fact that is awesome and crazy is the fact that it's a sequel to Louise's stories. O.O The next post here will be a prologue, something the reader should know before reading the actual story. You can skip it, sure, but it will ruin the story's point. I mean, the prologue answers a few questions about what is going on in the story. Why it's called Time Travel... You'll see. Since it's the sequel to Louise's stories, Louise is dead. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, read The Eternal Shadow King) Hope you enjoy! :D


Prologue

*Eight Years After the Events of The Eternal Shadow King*

The Phoenix Troops were heading south of the Quiet Fields. This eternal desert where you're very lucky to survive longer than five minutes without water in. Getting through this empty wasteland was extremely hard. Phoenix soldiers were lucky to have a truck with them. "We're almost there!" said the driver of the vehicle. "Get ready for a party!".

Those soldiers were headed there for a very important mission. A politic terrorist named calling himself "Stranger" was once again a threat for the company. He was an extremely dangerous person, he had almost started the World War IV. He felt like doing it again. At least that's what people thought. No one really knew what he planned to do. And he gained the title "terrorist" only because of the explosion in 2018.The explosion didn't even need to be considered an explosion... Nothing was damaged and nobody died. The politics said: "Incredible luck".

The truck started shaking a little as it have crossed the border of the Quiet Fields. There were no roads in this wasteland, and there was zero reason for there to be. "How long until we finally arrive?" Asked the sergeant from the back. "A few minutes, don't worry pal, you'll have an incredible chance of busting the "Stranger" soon enough." Answered the driver, laughing. A few minutes later, the truck have arrived near a cave.

The truck quickly stopped, soldiers grabbed their rifles, left the truck and came inside the cave ignoring the "Keep Out" sign. Inside the cave, it was very dark. There were a few torches attached to the walls of the cavern but that was the only light source. The soldiers didn't show a sign of fear however. The Phoenix soldiers were professionals, they were trained a lot better than military but were more expensive. They were used in case of real emergency only.

The soldiers were following their sergeant and the truck driver. The deeper they came in the cave, the less light there was. A few of the recruits could notice tarantulas crawling desperately next to them. A few minutes later, when they came in the cave so deeply there was almost no light at all, the soldiers decided the use their flashlights. Thanks to them, they have found a metal gate.

"Break it" commanded the sergeant. A few of this group took their lasers that were rarely used and cut a hole in this metal gate. This hole had given a somewhat purple light source so powerful, it blinded the sergeant. They crawled through the hole one by one to find out what it was. The sergeant couldn't help but be impressed by what he saw. It was a portal. And the purple light came from the inside of it.

"What do you want, you Phoenix scum!" Screamed someone next to the portal. Everyone quickly recognized him. It was the "Stranger". Everyone pointed their guns at him. But he ignored it. "Just let me finish." Said the "Stranger". "I want to save someone!". "And we want to save the universe from you!" Screamed the driver who still pointed his gun at him. No one shot though. The order was to take him back alive at all costs. If he will be killed, it won't be tolerated. And the "Stranger" knew that perfectly. So he ignored the squad and came to the levers next to him.

"I will save them! You want it or not! But I will repair my mistakes!" Screamed the "Stranger" and pulled one of the levers. And the color of the portal changed from purple to blue. "Damn you!" Screamed one of the soldiers and shot the lever. The portal's color changed from blue to red. "What the hell have you done?!" Screamed the "Stranger". He then ran away through the exit behind him.

"Hey stop!" Screamed the sergeant and ran behind him. But something interrupted him. Something came from the portal and jumped at him. It was white and two times taller than any human being. It had giant nails. It have entered its nails into the sergeant's neck before he could even react. It bled. The soldiers, panicking, started shooting at it. They killed it, but it didn't help as there were thousands coming out of the portal now. "Run!" Screamed the driver and the entire group started running.

They were taught to not feel fear but what they saw scared them a lot. Their hearts were beating, they were sweating and feel shocked. Three at the same time. While running, the group realized quickly that these things also run very quickly. The soldiers were caught one by one and killed. Millions of those things came from the portal. The driver was the only person they didn't catch yet. He reached the truck but couldn't close the trucks door. Those creatures took him and threw him off the truck and entered their nails into the neck, making him bleed.

Those things were now in the open. On Earth. No one is safe here anymore.

This story is a spin off, by the way. Like "Star Wars:The Clone Wars". Has a point, but not necessary to watch/read to know what happens in the movie. About those Phoenix guys and the "Stranger", the answer will be available soon enough. (I love leaving you guys questions that can't be answered yet lmao. Gets people's attention quickly) Anyway, thanks for your time! :D

Chapter 1 - Welcome to the Horizon, kiddos!

*Two years after the events of the Prologue*

"Welcome to the Horizon! So, let's say that life on Earth just wasn't cutting it! Bandits keep kidnapping your "little princess"? Flares keep gathering human food nearby? Lack of water? Not a problem! The number one company Phoenix have made a great solution! The Horizon! This giant satellite flying in space with zero problems! If you hate your life, it's not hard to start loving it again! Join us and we will make your life. Period."

The "Horizon", like the commercial above said is a giant satellite which is a refuge against the dangers of the Earth. With the flares invading the planet, life became impossible down there. The flares are those creatures that came out of the portal in the beginning of the story. The "Horizon" gives an illusion of safety and awesomeness, but it sadly isn't. Sure, it removes the problem "Getting Eaten By A Flare" off the list, but will put new problems on it.

Take the Tree Killers for example. Those terrorists seeking revenge for "abandoning" them down there, which is not that far from truth... This gang was bombing the satellite several times killing hundreds of people in the process. The Phoenix have lost a lot of money building the shelter that they couldn't afford the training of their own soldiers, so they partnered themselves with the military. The military offered worse protection than Phoenix's soldiers but it was better than nothing.

Like if it wasn't enough, the military were separated in two groups, one group was responsible of the dangers on Horizon (R.F.I., Responsible For Inside), the other was responsible for protection of the civilians left on Earth (R.F.O., Responsible For Outside). The Phoenix had to pay for both.

"Are you in place yet, you turtle?!" Asked Agent S's assistant. "What if I'm your boss?" Answered Agent S angrily. "And what if there are human lives on bet, "Boss"?" Said his assistant sarcastically. If you didn't figure it out yet, Sven, or Agent S, is one of those military agents mentioned before. He's the R.F.I. Agent.

He was on a mission to prevent the menace of an explosion in the "Captain Jack's Memorial Theatre". Even though Sven hated the name of the theatre, he didn't hate the people inside of it right now. Jack destroyed major parts of his life, he killed Louise, Nala and Undead. And they make a "Memorial" of him... He always wondered who in hell even got the idea of calling the theatre like that and who even accepted this?

"Seriously, where the hell are you?" Sven's assistant kept bothering him. This person wasn't as bad as it may first seem. He actually cares about Sven, and Sven does too. They just forget to mention that to each other. "Just beside the gate. Start scanning for any possible explosives around." Said Sven.

The threat was obviously caused by the Tree Killers. They loved victims in big numbers. "Okay. And please, don't go guns-blazing like the last time. It did not go over well." Said his assistant. "If I'm one hundred percent honest, it went perfectly..." Said Sven confused. "But there were reports against you because of it. You were almost fired." Said the assistant. "I wasn't." Answered calmly. Sven entered through the gate for the theatre. Bought himself a ticket and came to the place accorded to him.

There was already a show going on. The theatre wasn't very big, it was hard for Sven to come in unnoticed. "See the guy with the red hat..." Whispered the assistant. Sven looked around and found a person right in front of the scene who was the only person who had a red hat. "Yeah, him. He has that bomb thingy. Just try not to blow his head up." Grinned the assistant. Sven was about to get up when suddenly, a woman beside him stopped him and said: "He's mine.".

She then left her place and came towards the Red Hat Guy. Sven wondered who it was but there was no time to think at all. Whoever she was, she was sabotaging the entire mission. He quickly left his place and followed this woman. The convict noticed the two people coming for him and pulled out a gun. In panic, he started shooting everywhere. People started screaming and left the theatre in panic. The convict attached the bag with him. Sven guessed it had the bomb inside of it.

The convict started running away. He reached the "Exit" door. The two started chasing him. "Who the hell are you, anyway?" Asked Sven loudly. "I'm R.F.O., that's all you need to know." Answered the woman. The two groups were rivals. They hate each other and that was the main reason the military was separated in the first place.

When they got through the "Exit" door, they saw the Red Hat Guy on a motorcycle ready to drive away. With no time to think, Sven hopped on the motorcycle. The motorcycle started moving quickly. Sven was about to fall off, but he grabbed the convict's neck which held him on the vehicle. The convict didn't give up though, he started punching Sven and trying to push him off. Sven almost fell off the bike but then, the woman showed up again. She jumped on the bike.

The Red Hat Guy just couldn't resist this weight on him and crashed vehicle. All three bounced off the ground and landed. "Well... That's a hard landing" joked Sven's assistant. "Shut up." Said Sven. He pulled out his gun and started aiming at the bomb carrier. "You're under arrest." Said Sven whose head was hurting very badly. At this very moment, the woman was gone.

It's been a while wasn't it? Sorry for taking too long to make. It's Christmas and shit so... This chapter is a little... Boring if you want so don't hate please.

Chapter 2 - Here we met again...

Sven put handcuffs on the bomb carrier and dropped him on the ground. "Is your bomb still active?" Asked Sven. "Yeah, it is. No time limit until it explodes though. Good job, sheriff." Answered the Red Hat Guy. Sven smiled a little. He took the bag with the bomb inside and brought his captive across the city. The entire satellite was just one big city. With almost no people in it.

The two have been walking for hours, his captive kept telling different jokes along the way. He didn't seem to care about the fact that he is going to stand trial and then be executed. He was just talking about his life, about his sister, about the show going on in the theatre etc. Confused, Sven still enjoyed his company. The two were talking, the following circumstances made everything look million times weirder, an agent who's pointing a gun at his captive is talking with him and laughing at his jokes.

His behaviour seemed similar to Jack's. Same "No-Give-A-Damness", same crude jokes, same everything. Only it wasn't him at all. Jack would never blow up a building because of "Treason". He is too crazy for that. If it would be him, he'd blow up the entire satellite! Sven was glad he's dead by now. No matter the odds. It was worth it. "Alright, sheriff. Thanks for your company and thanks for guiding me to the military outpost." Said the Red Hat Guy laughing.

At his laugh, two soldiers came out of the outpost. "Yeah, yeah, no problem" said Sven, laughing as well. The two soldiers grabbed Sven's captive and started dragging him inside of the building. Sven gave the bag to one of the soldiers. "There's a bomb inside, probably active." Said Sven "Make sure to visit me a few times if you need anything!" Were the last words of the Red Hat Guy. He found it weird, but he swore to himself that he would, one day. "What a psycho!" Yelled the assistant. "The sick bastard finds THIS funny!" "Yeah, I found it weird too." Said Sven seriously.

"Anyway, is there any other bomb to take away?" "Nah, but The Chief wants to meet up with you. He is waiting for you at the bar." Said the assistant. "Are we talking about the same bar or some other?" Asked Sven. The assistant sighed. Sven knew perfectly which bar he was talking about, it was just an another weird joke. Sven got that the joke wasn't so funny by the sigh of his companion, so he just headed for the bar. Through the deserted streets, like before.

But without the Red Hat Guy, it was different. This emptiness looked... emptier... These deserted streets have got their true colours by now. That's how "Horizon" looked like from inside. Just an eternal empty city. There were people in the buildings and outside sometimes, sure, but it was still empty. One of the reasons being; people couldn't afford it. If looking at it from a mathematical perspective, only 20% of the entire satellite was inhabited. This really made people sad.

Sven finally got close to the "Bar". The entire place was wrecked, no one really knows why. The rumour spread that Bruno (The Chief) was drunk and got a shotgun and started shooting inside of the bar. This rumour has to stay a rumour, the truth is much worse and is best be left forgotten. Sven knew about that, Bruno's daughter died of poisoning in here, enraged, Bruno started pursuing the murderer but couldn't get him. This place was forgotten ever since, and it became a perfect place for chit chat with no one watching you or hearing you.

Sven opened the door. The floor was wrecked as well. There were chairs and tables. In one of these chairs, The Chief was sitting. "Hello there, Agent S." "Hey, Bruno." Said Sven. He took a chair and sat close to him. "You wanted to meet up with me?" "Yes I did." Said Bruno. "So... What's the matter?" Asked Sven. "What, there should be a matter to want to meet up with an old friend?" Asked Bruno, smiling. "So... There's no matter?" "Well, I didn't say so..." Bruno got out from his chair and headed towards the backyard of the bar. "Follow me."

Sven got a little scared. What was so important to come looking for HERE. In this hell of a bar? It should be something very serious. Bruno opened the door leading to the backyard. "Say your greetings to Safoya." After Bruno said this, he recognized the woman that almost sabotaged his mission. It was a trap. He pulled his gun and pointed it at "Safoya" who seemed to not care.

Anyway, Here's an another chapter. Sorry for taking a while to make those... Too lazy lmao. I changed the complicated group names like R.O.T.D.O.H. into more simple ones, if you want, go check the previous chapters. Now about the assistant guy, he's like a Siri but is an actual person talking from a distance

Chapter 3 - World is more complicated than it seems...

Still aiming his gun at the so called "Safoya", Sven felt betrayed. The person he had been working for, the person he trusted had sold him out to their potential rival. "Stop this immediately." Said Bruno angrily. Safoya was still calm, like if she expected this type of behaviour. "Never thought I'd be sold out by the person who was my dear friend for the last three years" answered Sven.

"Sold out? What the hell is going on up there?!" Screamed the assistant. After hearing this, Safoya seemed surprised. Like if she knew who that person was. "Not the best moment for you to talk, buddy" said Bruno to the assistant. "Sven, turn him off." Said Bruno. "Why the hell would I?" Asked Sven, "He doesn't disturb our conversation..." "There are a few things he shouldn't know about." Said Safoya. Sven had a sudden shock, what shouldn't his assistant know about? Someone who is miles away from here listening to the situations Sven's in, adding support. What if this isn't a trap? What if it's something really important. What if the "Stranger" reappeared? What if the assistant was the "Tree Killers" leader this whole time? What if Freddy Fazbear is real?! And what if all of this was true AT THE SAME TIME?!!

Slowly, Sven dropped his gun, headed for his ear and clicked on it turning contact with the assistant off. Bruno picked the gun up. "You two, I've got an important mission for you. My dear friend found out about a way to remove flares from the Earth." At these words, Sven suddenly thought: What the hell am I doing here, then? It's R.F.O.'s job. They're responsible for the Earth's safety, not me!


"I need both of you. I know you two more than any agent here, and I know you are the only ones who can make it possible and in one piece." Sven thought: Yeah, yeah. If you know us BOTH that much, why don't we know each other? Could've invited us all to a party or something... "My friend found out about a certain Labyrinth of the Flame Bird. It seems to contain weapons of incredible power, enough to clean Earth from these ugly creatures. Sven got his full interest. What weaponry can be so powerful? He wanted it. Like now. And try it out sometime in a mission.

"On this mission, you will have to work together. You will be completely cut off the "Horizon" and have no contact except me. Sven, your assistant can't be with you this time." Said Bruno. "Oh, come on!" Said Sven. Safoya didn't say a word during the entire description of the mission, and she didn't feel like talking. That annoyed Sven a lot. This silence only slightly interrupted by the Bruno's Bla-Bla-Bla was killing. He was extremely annoyed, he wanted a kill, a piece of action. He wanted Bruno to shut up and say "Go!". This usually took a while to Bruno. If he was talking, you're lucky if he stopped an hour later.

"I will give you a IBICF-340 to get to Earth. I'll give you further instructions then." The IBICF-340 was a SpaceShip. Not very big, two or three people can easily fit, not more. Bruno asked Safoya and Sven to follow him, they climbed to the bar's floor where the spaceship was. "I'm the pilot." said Safoya. "Hahaha... No. Last time I gave you something to do, and you sabotaged everything. No, I'm the pilot." Said Sven. "Do you even know how to?" Asked Bruno laughing. "Because the last time your attempt to fly was pretty... Painful..." Sven felt embarrassed.

He knew how to keep this thing in the air, but didn't know how to land it. He still doesn't. But he didn't let Safoya take his dignity away. He still took the pilot's spot in the spaceship. Bruno gave the gun back to Sven. Sven started the engine, and soon, IBICF-340 was in the air. Soon, It left the "Horizon"'s orbit and was heading to the Earth. From where they were, the Earth looked beautiful. A lot better than what's inside of this planet.

"Are you sure we'll be alive with you being a pilot?" Asked Safoya with a sarcasm. "Don't worry, we'll be..." Sven got interrupted by light coming from the "Horizon"'s security system. This light was heading right for them. It was a laser! "What the hell?!" Screamed Sven and dodged the laser. Soon, there were thousands like these heading for them. "What the hell is that?!" Screamed Safoya. She wanted to start calling the "Horizon"'s headquarters, but then she remembered that she and Sven were cut off.

Sven was zigzagging trying to dodge the lasers. "Are you good at being a pilot?!" Asked Sven. "Better than you I guess!" Answered Safoya. Sven left the pilot's seat and Safoya took his place. She was dodging all the shots perfectly, but the ship was spinning. This almost made Sven puke. He was attached to his seat. Sven wondered who or at least why was "Horizon" trying to kill them? Despite great moves and dodges, the ship still got hurt. It was damaged in its wing. The ship was now almost uncontrollable. The ship was heading to Earth at a really high speed. This is death, now it's certain. Sven was sure they are gonna die. It was his last flight. Both of them were screaming inside. A few minutes later, the IBICF-340 crashed into the Earth.
