I'm from a military family. Our salary is cut monthly. Criminals don't follow laws, all the ban does is affect normal people. $581 billion isn't the current budget. Get your facts straight.

Her "Email Scandal" was cleared and was proven to be okay. Even if it wasn't she wouldn't be going to jail because of it. And If you really think she is winning because she is a women then thats just sad..... If anything its a disadvantage....

What I have been saying all along.

Most criminals aquire guns illegally. Granted the few who don't, but the average gun owner 1) keeps gun unloaded and locked in safe 2) doesn't reveal where the weapon is.

If we ban owning firearms (unconstitutional by the way because of the second amendment) criminals and terrorists will get them anyway, and the common person is defenseless.

Alabama is somehow still seen as a racist, sexist, unsafe crime ridden state. It is the opposite. I've lived all over the United States. This is the most peaceful state I've seen. We have almost no violent crime. Everybody gets along. Why? We kept our rights. Why attack a public place if you think armed citizens are inside? We moved on. We keep old flags and items from civil war era not because we have those ideals, we have them as a reminder of what we used to be and to not return to that hideous mindset of racism.

If gun control activists were right, Alabama would be the most dangerous state. Everybody here is armed, so nobody dares step out of line.

I rest my case. I won't resort to insults like others on this thread. I use evidence. If you guys can express your views, I will express mine. Freedom is not for the few, even if they are the majority.

No one is ever banning guns, we want restrictions. Most criminals don't go to a black market to get a gun. They don't need to. As long as they don't have a visible mental sickness or violent offense on their criminal record, they can go to any gun store; or, get their friend to buy a few guns and share it with the gang. Those guns were bought legally, not smuggled in or illegally manufactured.

The reason why we want gun control is because America owns ~40% of the total guns in the world, and this is how America is with many other countries in the world:

We also want gun control because at it's very nature, a loaded gun is volatile and lethal. Guns are meant to shoot things, and shooting something would probably kill it. We also want more gun control because we want to stop shootings such as San Bernadino, Colorado Springs, and the recorded shooting in Georgia. All of those happened this year, and those guns were bought legally. Not to mention, there are other ways to protect yourself, such as knives, pepper spray, and tazers, which can also be bought.

I believe that Gun control, currently, is the best solution to lowering shootings in General

 

Idk. People with a gun should have to be tested for criminal backgrounds or mental disorders, and that'd be a lot less shootings.

If it worked it would be great. The problem is it doesn't. Either we fix restrictions or fix gun control. We currently live in the hell between unrestricted gun use and no guns.

I have a shotgun. It is a 12 gauge single shot hinge. It takes about 15 seconds in normal circumstances to fire a second shot. It is unloaded, in a locked safe, and the ammunition is in a seperate locked safe. If someone breaks in, I can defend myself. Unless that happens, the only time shells are even near it are at a controlled range. If we fixed the screening process, then there wouldn't be a problem.
