If you're already at high school, what is it for you?
And how do you see the things you study at school?

For me high school is a place ruled by people that dosent really know what snapchat is, or any of our technologies. Teachers think they can solve problems, but the truth it, they can only make them.

We learn stuff that we never use, like math..

    a(121xxa X 10)/i(1sx / 100) ect ect.
I mean complicated math wont really help you. Who dosent always have phone on him!
Math is a "mental abuse to humans"!

Philosophy is stuff we know, explained in words we don't know.

One more question, does the alphabet need to be in a order, theres so many stupid rules put to languages, and why do multiple languages exist, why not just one?

My school is pretty chill, but they painted the walls a different color and it looks like a mental asylum.

Its the final compulsory level of schooling.

Really I find it interesting especially my option subjects (2 subjects we can pick) however there are lots of things we learn that I will never use (Mostly in English as I need most things in maths for my career choice) that annoy me.

    no homework,
    no test,
    no quizzes,
they give us chromebooks to bring home and everything,
and someone put weed in the air vent thingies so it's literally a HIGH school
(hahahahahahah i have no friends i'm sure you can guess why)

High school is great. I got to choose two subjects that interest me: Physics and computer science. I have plenty of good friends too.
I'm no longer studying Arabic which is great. (Don't get this wrong, I'm just really bad at Arabic and my teacher wasn't good.)
This year, we must complete 60 hours of community service. Me and my friend decided to volunteer at a dog shelter, which is kind of sad because you get to see 300+ dogs barking and crying in huge cages, but it's fun when you get to walk them.
I'm doing very good at my exams as well.

Just started second quarter and enjoying it. Getting A grades in all 5 classes. We only go to school from 8 AM to 4 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Wednesdays we have the same schedule but we have virtual classes, where we log into a virtual room and solve tests. Mondays and Fridays are independent work. I honestly like this school a lot more than public school as I've said before, I haven't been bullied for the entire 8th grade, and so far into the 9th grade, it's nothing but laughs and high-fives.

    *kid quietly talks to friend*
Teacher shouts: I TOLD YOU ALL TO BE QUIET!!!!
    Kid: but you just shoute-
Teacher shouts: DETENTION! DON'T ARGUE BACK!

*one kid talks to his friend*
Teacher: THAT'S IT, EVERYONE IS COPYING OUT TEXTBOOKS AND YOU'RE ALL STAYING BEHIND AFTER SCHOOL

To be honest, I don't mind high school. It's alright, not as good as primary school or "elementary school" as the others may call it.

In subjects like maths, english, history, etc, you might think 'ok, I'll never need to know this stuff.'
    You actually never know.
A lot of schools teach subjects as general as just 'Maths' so that if you want to change your career to something else, you have extra skills to be able to specialise in other areas.
    I like school I guess

High school to me is stress, stress, and even more stress but it's all good :)
I enjoy learning calculus, psych, physics, and Japanese in school because they don't really give homework that often, even though they're pretty much self-study.

High school has been a transitional period in my life that I don't really know what to make of.
For starters, I go to this hellhole, known as Chaminade (pronounced SHA-MIN-AHD):
    image.jpeg
It's not exactly an easy school to get into, and the coursework is college-level material. However, it gives an edge when applying to colleges, so that's certainly helpful.
Chaminade is an all-boys school, so we don't exactly have any experience with dealing with girls. As such, I simply can't deal with them as well as I can deal about girls (and I owe quite a few apologies because of that). That's okay, though - less distractions and more time for me to do my work.
It's located on Long Island, New York's conservative appendix. As a Catholic school, it's pretty conservative itself, which is a rarity throughout NY as a whole. Ironically, during my time in High School, I switched from being a Republican to being an Independent, but that's another story.
During my first two years of high school, I was basically alone. I had pretty much no close friends, and I also didn't really care about school. I was one of those kids who would never study, never pay attention because of his ADD, and save his homework until the period before it was due (I worked out a whole strategy for doing homework in class, it never failed me). Even through all of this, I had around a 90 for my first two years. I just didn't think that there was a point to trying when everyone around me was supposedly smart too.
In Junior year, when I met with my guidance counselor, he told me about the test that I took to get into the school. Apparently, my score was astronomical, and if I put in the amount of effort that most people do to get a 90, I could be the top student in the school. The conversation was supposed to be uplifting, but it just ended up saddening me. I'd basically wasted my time for two years. As a result, I put actual effort into junior year, and got a much higher score.
So now college applications. I don't know what to expect, but I can hope for the best.
Chaminade never explicitly taught me my philosophy. It's one of those schools that tries to drill its Catholic dogma into your skull (gay marriage is wrong, God can be known with absolute certainty, and abortion is murder at all stages). I ignored their dogmas. Instead, I used my experiences to embrace logic, and that helped me to open my eyes philosophically. I ended up learning incredible things... Like how there's only one truth. And how marriage as an institution should be removed completely to really free the spirit of what we call "love." And how anything with rational thought is human, and we shouldn't kill it, but only if it has rational thought. And how no, we can't know that God exists, and we can't prove it, but it's logical to believe in Him, or a god as a whole, so that you gain the benefits of objective reality.
I may joke outside of school and say how much I hate it... But it helped me to realize my true potential, and that's an experience that has forever changed me.
