Avi Kaplan is best tho. He has such range and wow technique. When he solo all the girls be like YAAAS.

Fr tho, being a bass singer myself (and not a bad one, if I do say so myself), Avi is an inspiration for my practice in vocal production and a capella performance.

 

Uggh I wish I had that kind of range. Baritones are like the violins of orchestra....
Tbh, I don't think Mitch qualifies as a tenor, probably counter with that kind of high pitch.
I really like Avi too but they're all very strong singers

 

Bruh. Kevin is a Baritone, not Avi. Avi is a "deep bass" which is basically anyone with notes lower than C 2 octaves below middle C.

Avi has an F# below the C he would need to be a deep bass. I myself can only manage a B in that area with full blown morning voice in effect. However, my range is slightly higher than his. While he can only manage an E above mid C, I can go to a G above it in full voice.

TL;DR - I'm a legit choir nerd xD

Are you able to hit that C2 on the piano like Avi did in Dance of the Sugar Plums?

 

Oh. Whoops.

But yeah, I can. Only in morning voice, though. Otherwise my range on the lower end is restricted to a D in that area. With morning voice in effect though, my upper range is slashed down to middle C.


Fun fact!
Mitch, Scott, and Kirstie were all members of the TMEA Texas All-State Choir at one point, a difficult position to obtain. Only 450/~30,000 make it in. (I made it into that choir too in my Sophomore year, and after a failure last year, hope to end my Senior year by making it in again.)
