Upsides of 1.9 Less lag issues More decorating blocks New Features to prevent Macro-spam and auto-click Downsides of 1.9 Texture changing and durability really is unnecessary Plugins will take a while to update and change around PvP updates aren't really handy, since no one PvPs a lot. Only Factions, SG, HC, and OITC Using farming tools as weapons, seems a little weird
Nobody cares about farming. It's boring on minecraft. And who cares abut decorations, there is a thing called texture packs.
I don't feel like 1.9 is necessarily a bad update, but that it's going to be very hard to adjust to. I think that Mojang did a really good job on making this update. It makes the end more immersive, PvP and even PvE harder, and is going to add a sense of strategy to the game. (inb4 it sucks)
PvE was always too easy in MC, even on hard. 1.9 is a great update imo. No more mashing and skill will matter. As for PvP, you can always make a plugin that changes battle mechanics. How hard is that, dunno. Overall, I think it's a very good update that will increase the quality of battle mechanics, skill requirement and overall difficulty, which was vastly needed.
And then strafing skeletons were added, along with skeleton horse jockey ambushes. PvE totally isn't difficult. Also, Ender Dragon v2.1 is bae. Wither ain't got nothing.
I really don't understand why 1.9 is "bad". It's an amazing update to be completely honest! Everyone would love the update except for the fact that they cant sweat their asses of and jitterclick ( aww poor tryhards)
