    My minecraft launcher has been stuck at this for about 5 minutes with no change.

    Computer specs:

    Mac OSX 10.6.8
    RAM: 1GB
    Radeon X1600 Graphics card

    If you have a slow internet connection, that could be the cause.

    If it just stays like that, I suggest resetting minecraft and re-downloading the launcher.

    Go to
    ~/Library/Application Support/ and delete the folder named minecraft
