I need ideas on what to get for a PC. It does, however, have to be under $400...

The NZXT Phantom 820 is just a case.... there's nothing in it. And for the Dell, well that thing belongs in a museum.

My lord your computers are cheap. My alienware M17X was $2000 and it's a laptop...

If you're looking for gaming specs, I'd recommend the alienware area-51 desktop, but that's $3700 so eliminate that. I'd recommend those new touchscreen computers microsoft made, that can transform into an iPad. Not sure how to describe it. It sells for $600, but they vary in prices.

I have a Dell Optiplex. It's a old, loud, slow bugger, but it works well.

Yeah, I just say iPad cause I don't know what to call it. Tablet? Idk. I know the difference between Microsoft and Apple.

My recommendation is just to build one. You can build an awesome computer for much less then what it would cost if you were to buy it, since your not paying for the branding which is why manufactures, such as Dell get expensive. I recommend you look on New Egg for your parts if you are interested:

And sorry if this is considered as a source of advertising, I am just trying to give him some advice however.

You're probably talking about a desktop, but I had this really awesome laptop I got for $400 that runs Minecraft on average at 200FPS and I was able to run Shaders mod. It was also thin and has and AMD quad core processor in it. Also it has a touchscreen.

Actually it's around $700 sorry when I got it I forgot the person at Staples gave me the wrong one twice and gave me this one instead of the cheaper one. I basically paid $400 bucks for a $700 PC.

I already have a Macbook Pro that can run Minecraft at around 75 fps, but I'm getting a desktop so I can have something a home for better use rather than have one tiny laptop hold a giant storage.
I already have an iPad and Macbook Pro, so I really don't need it.
Now, this is the comment I've been waiting for. I looked up a couple of things on sites I could purchase stuff off of, and I found a great computer with this build.
It's actually a lot better than my mac, containing twice the memory and another GHz, so I think I'll be using this.
Thanks to everyone who suggested some computers. @LaColeman, @Mcc457, @FailedExperiment, @TheShadow, @Xenohs. All of your suggetsions were good, and I appreciate you telling me how bad that computer was and that it was just case, Shadow.
