I need a new PC under 850$

Hello. I understand nothing about computers, I don't understand any of those motherboard crap. I need a good PC under 850$ (preferably to build). Thanks.

Get a SONY VAIO... That's what I used to have until my mom spilled coffee on it... I miss it SO much!

 

What are you using it for? Gaming? Rendering?

 

You can get anything good with less than 500, and since you have a bigger budget then you can get something even better.

For the people who understand:
CPU: Itel i5 Quad Core(Pretty good)
GPU: Evga Gtx 960(Very good)
Motherboard: No name, but its pretty good!
8 Gb Ram, but 2 other open slots on the motherboard
250 gb of stoarge(C drive) which is an ssd of course
1 TB of extra storage(D Drive)

The best part is, you can customize the computer as much as you like!

 

For the price, the GTX 960 is absolute rubbish. You're better off with an R9 380.

 

Mine under 500 bucks and it runs minecraft at around 80 fps.

 

I have a Nvidia GTX 980 with a i7 cpu and a gigabyte motherboard. I run 1k fps. The 960 is really that bad?

 

In proportion to its price, yes, it is. However, if he's willing to spend the extra dough, he can get a GTX 970. Much better value for its performance. Or stick to a well-priced alternative from AMD like the R9 380.

 

Technically, you only need 60 fps to run minecraft smoothly, and with some "padding fps", you need 100. Although if Minecraft is the only game you will be playing, you could actually get away with an NVIDIA gtx 760, what I had before my upgrade, and I ran 300 fps with Optifine. But, because Minecraft doesn't push the limits that much, you wouldn't be able to play the hardware intense games with the 760.
