I don't know if any of you like it, but a few weeks ago, I went hiking with some friends at Lanikai Pillboxes in Kailua on the island of Oahu, which is the island I live on. I took the pictures below and I'm sorry about the low quality; my phone's camera isn't very good. Spoiler: Pictures I'm not really a fan of hiking. This particular hike was pretty hard because it was really slippery from the rain the previous night. Anyway, do any of you like hiking or know of any good trails in your area?
Well I live in washington state. We basically have trees... and trees. There are tons of trails. My favorite in particular is the Discovery Park loop, which looks out into the ocean. This isn't my picture. If you'd like to see the article which this is from, you can find it here: http://seattletrekker.com/outdoor-seattle/discovery-park
Hiking doesn't have to be taking a week hike up a mountain. 3 mile loop trails can be equally as redeeming as overnight hikes. I don't do extreme hiking, as you may call it, and you should get out there and just take a walk. Hikes are fun, and a great way to bond with your friends or family. Just google trails in your vicinity and pick one. It's worth it.
But you know, even though we're called 'The Evergreen state" more than half the state is desert(The eastern side). We're mostly famous for our trees though... I Love Trees. <3.
