1.7 Help

Ok, I usually use 1.7 when I play minecraft, mostly because 1.8 is laggy. However, whenever I try to log on into 1.7, once a hit the "Play" button, the game never shows up. It can't be my computer's problem because when I switch over to 1.8, and click "Play," I get an immediate response and the game pops up quickly. No matter how many times I try to play in 1.7, the game never shows up. Does anybody know the problem and why I can play in 1.8 but not 1.7?

 

this sounds weird, but maybe try deleting minecraft?

 

I had tried not using the installed version on my computer and just going to minecraft.net and start it up there, but that did not work either.

 

Ok go to %appdata%
Then .minecraft
Then versions
And delete the 1.7 folder
Then relaunch minecraft
it should redownload 1.7

I started to do that, and then I remembered that I had Optifine in 1.7, so I took Optifine off to make it normal 1.7. When I tried to login it finally worked, so I think the problem was just the mods holding it back. Thanks for the help anyway. Locking now.
