2 years on the server \o/

Alright, so let me be honest.
I both expected and didn't expect to hit 2 years.
Typically, I'm not one for commitments, and so at first I thought I would never of stayed here.
But you did it.
As a community, you kept me here long enough so that I can say, 'I've been here two whole years'.
And with that, I say

Thank you.
Thanks for two whole years of fun, two whole years of entertain, two whole years of me being a fgt.
Granted, this is on the server, as it isn't my 2 year forum anniversary yet, buuuut, whatever.

Let's go back to the beginning.
June, 2013.
Joined because of Youtube videos.
How fun.
I played Build It for the first month I was here, as that game is fun as lol.
Then, I started Skyblock.
I started with my irl friends as I didn't know ANYONE on the server.
Very bad island, all of us were no ranks.
Tried to make a mob spawner, didn't work.
Someone in chat offered to help, and so yeah.
It really wasn't working, so we went to Sb3.

As many people may know, I had a really, really big island on sb3.
Like, giant head wall and everything.
At first, it wasn't even that big.
Was a small platform with cobble and wood as the floor, and some dirt.

After about a week into my sb3 island, I learned about ranks.
Before hand I had no idea about it and tbh I was so entertained at people riding me idk why lol
I looked, and realised you could fly.
I was like, I'mma at least ask for this.
This was the first online purchase I wanted, ever.
To my surprise, my mum said yes, but was skeptical about handing over $50 ($54 AUD at the time)
And then, [Legend] Map_Turtle was born.


After I got my rank, I started talking to people more.
People like @Radii (cough LilaRok cough)
After that, I started staying in lobby a lot more to talk to people, but I still didn't really talk to many people.

Then, the forums came along.
Someone came in lobby and said 'omg you can apply for staff on the forums'
I was like 'omg where'
And then I joined for the forums.

As precise as my memory likes to be, I can't remember my first thread.
It was either my introduction, or my staff app.
But, my staff app was on the 1st or 2nd page when I made it, because there were only 1-2 pages at that time.
And then, I started posting.

I made many a friends here, too many a LOT of friends.
And I kinda was a butt nugget on the forums but yea.

Skip to February 2014.
I entered a rank up comp, with the number 37.
I won.
I got ranked up to Hero rank, which was awesome.
Shadow, the rank up comp owner, decided to try to be nice and rank me up to Herobrine, buuuuut.
I got blocked by Paymentwall.
Which was really annoying.

About this time last year, I was shown a game nearly all have heard of, osu!
Fun game.
Will say this now.
But, it was too fun.
I started ignoring mc as a whole, and it felt like a chore to come on.
10 fps on mc, whilst being in the worst timezone ever, or 120+ fps, when other people aren't your entertainment, which is better?
So yeah, for like nearly 10 whole months, I ignored the server purely because it was a huge chore to come online.
I also ignored Teamspeak because even still, my voice is so bad I don't like many people listening to it because it is eww.
And there was no one on when I was. -cri-

December, 2014.
I got my deskpoot.
This fgt thing I am using to type this up.
No longer have to use the netpoot, which was the most crappiest thing ever tbh.
Not only did I get 250 fps on osu!, but I got 30-60 on mc.
I was ecstatic, especially since more fps = more fun.
But lobby decided to disappoint me with only 10 fps.
I was like 'D:'
But, it wasn't as much as a chore to come on, and I decided to at least try for 1 day a week to get back into the server.
Sometimes I failed, sometimes I managed more.
Was much easier to do so since it was the holidays, but osu! still managed to take over.

Back to School, February 2015.
I decided to up my server time, to try for 5 days.
This was to be after school, since I couldn't manage any other time.
And yes, I failed a lot, but I tried.
I also had a slightly extended bedtime but not close to what times my friends generally came online (12-3am)
I mostly played Skyblock2, as I was added to an island there, with Roc and John.


April 11th, 2015.
When my extreme activity started.
When I got promoted.
I completely gave up osu!
Like,
Completely.
My rank is so bad right now I don't know if I can get it under 1k anymore.
But away from that, my activity increased immensely.
Being a staff member is much more fun than both staff and members put it out to be, and I cannot thank the staff team and you guys, the community, enough for making it a really fun position to have.

Only 2 months in, and I cannot imagine not having the rank anymore.
I've had way more fun times with it than bad, and it's just amazing.
