I agree and disagree on this, I mean I can understand that people find it annoying when someone takes up two seats. But you can just ask if they can make space for you to sit too. If they choose to ignore this, then just find another place to sit or stand.

TL;DR : You are not allowed to sit with your legs spreaded, because males/females can find it disgusting/ Or because it takes up two seats instead of one.

 

The angry Tumblr girls win. This is an absolutely ridiculous. There are many more problems that need to be fixed such as human trafficking, homelessness and police brutality in the US. Sure its rude to take up extra space on a crowded train, but this is seriously not where money needs to be spent. America, land of the free.

I don't find it disgusting because I tend not to do it. Well, besides school sometimes, but being that it's an all-boy school...

Personally, I don't care if America has lots of other more important issues. They aren't necessarily neglecting those issues just because they're taking a look at this one. Anyone who's saying how this is limiting our freedom should take in mind that too much freedoms is bad for everyone. I would not only be fine wth, but would also accept a restrictive country so long as the restrictions are beneficial to the whole.
As a daily train-goer myself, I often find people putting their bags on the seat next to them. It's really annoying. You know, people want to be able to sit there... Your bag doesn't need a seat. There's a space under the seat for a reason. I don't care if people find it offensive - that has no bearing on me. But if it takes up space on a crowded train, then that's wrong because you're denying people space that they deserve to have.

I have no objections to this being passed. Is it really as big as other, more important problems? No. But so long as it's a step in the right direction, what need I care?

 

The only music to my ears these days was that the leader of Isis is dead from what I heard.

It may be a step in the right direction, but there's a lot of more relevant issues to be putting money into. Of course our freedoms are not being stripped from up, but this really should have only gone as far as posters put up by local supporters and not government action
