Let's cut to the chase. First, let's talk about the server. The server has a wide variety of 9 different minigames. CraftRoulette isn't really a minigame. It's more or less a talk server that doesn't have its own portal yet. We have Survival Games, Spleef and Skyblock, the S combo as I like to call it, which was added to the first update of the J&H server, after it was released. They were all common games that were on the majority of public servers. Next, they started to add more games, which later on which would be featured by multiple popular youtubers, OITC and BuildIt. I tend to see most people come from a youtuber's vid about BuildIt. They also added a whole Parkour server when the J&H updated to "J&H 2.0". By then, Survival was separated from its minigames, as the minigames were put on a whole another server. We moved on to a new lobby, where our standard from today was in a main lobby with all the minigames behind or inside a portal you'd have to enter/pass through. Along the road to today, we lost 2 minigames, both of which were removed due to lag (Which I question to this day). Those minigames were Mob Arena and Paintball. They get suggested even now from new players, and a lot of people, including myself, miss those minigames from back then. But, oh well. It's 2 last minigames it would've been added to this date were Herobrine's Chamber and Mine Fighter (In that order). Herobrine's Chamber was a set of minigames as challenges, and Mine Fighter was The Walls, but set underground, which led to some pretty unique ways on how to win and completely changed the gamestyle of team deathmatch minigames. We also got a new way to play Survival, with Hardcore Factions, which allowed raiding, scamming, grieving, pvp, and the likes. Due to its variety of minigames and such potential in adding more, players on the server have a lot of options to choose from, but not so many you won't be able to do them all within a month. The server also has its usual donation ranks. The donation ranks from now and back then were COMPLETELY different. The cheapest rank was Cool with I believe $5 as a price (Cheap, huh?), and CHUCKNORRIS at $200 I believe. Spoiler: Why i'm not sure on the donation things. Yes, I was there back in the olden days of august 2012, but I never really got into the donating thing until a year later. Now, those donation ranks have gotten to a bit more of pricey, but with more powers. Donator costing at $10, to God at $200! Not only that, but for every rank you purchase, the cost of that rank will have all the other rank's retail price taken away by the rank you own's price. You get discounts and better powers, a win/win situation! Now for its forums. Unlike most other forums, this one seems to be neatly organized with 3 sections: Announcements, keeping the server's information, Server Chat, where you can easily ask for help, comment about the server and its minigames, or make a suggestion, Apps and Reports, where you can report a troublemaker/bug, appeal your ban stating why you should be unbanned, and even make a STAFF application, and finally, Other Chat. Other Chat is like its own world. You can discuss about other games, anything going on irl, show off a creation, talk about the GAME this server's on, be silly and random, put something where it doesn't belong anywhere else, and finally make a welcoming statement, or a final farewell. With lots of sections neatly organized, it's pretty rare you won't be able to find the right section to put your thread in. The most important part: Its community. The J&H Community has a lot of variety to it with lots of people from different places with different cultures, interests and personalities. There's always someone to make you laugh, someone to help you with your problems, or someone to be your friend. With different topics coming up at the blink of an eye, there's a lot you can do without getting too bored. That body of text basically symbolizes why I, and hopefully, other players, keep them going. Spoiler: The community thing. Ik it's cliche, but for me, it's true. Spoiler: TL;DR The server has a lot of different and unique minigames that you can play and have a lot of fun with without having to spend an hour on. The forums has a great community with great, distant and goofy people with neatly organized sections. Spoiler: Comments 20+ likes? Holy s***! This is my most liked post by far. Thanks to all of you who liked my post!
