Have you ever witnessed a crime, or do you know any criminals?

I have had no personal experience with a crime nor have I ever known a criminal before in my life, mainly because I usually do not pay any real attention to that sort of stuff.

 

Caught a few shop lifters myself in the store where I worked, and saw many crimes happen.
The crimes where they steal a bike or beat up a guy and rob him after. Not like any big heist.

I own a knife that I use for work, but it;s described as a Surival/combat knife.

I have a diffrent grip. Same blade.

I don;t use it outside from work and never carry it on me when I leave the house when going to the store.
It does happen sometimes that I carry it with me in a store but that only happens if I go to a store when I just came back from work.

 

What kind of work do you need such a blade for O_o

 

I once saw someone steal a bike but it was not that big of a deal.

I own an airsoft gun. I could post a pic but meh I will stay on the safe side :).

 

I work at a horse stable, and I have had plenty of times where a horse would get stuck in electric shock wires. So a blade that cuts through those wires like it would through butter is needed.
The blade is kind of over-kill looking, but I also wanted a cool looking knife :X

Since I did not say which gun I have in my previous post, I will just say that I am not very comfortable with sharing things such as that, so let's just leave it like that.

 

Not sure if this counts but
Me and @Masterchief07 were at school about a month or two ago and there was a small explosion that shook the school and it turns out it was a meth lab exploding.

As for guns, I don't personally own a gun but I'm pretty sure my parents have one just in case. I have an air soft gun which shoots plastic bbs if that counts lol.

 

I have seen plenty of crimes and shoplifts.

And yes, my family does own a gun. 'Murica

I am also anti-gun control. Do people really think that gun control is going to stop criminals from getting a gun? Heck no. All it does is make citizens more vulnerable . . .

 

Well, this is what once happened in my childhood. I was around 10 years old, every time when me and my mother went to a store called "Trekpleister", which has like a part where you can get candy and stuff.

I always got to the candy part and took a handful of candy, and ate it. The emloyees didn't even realise. But one day an old lady was like "You're not allowed to do that!" It did scare me, but I just walked away, after that, I've never done anything like that.

Oh also, I've seen a crime in the grocery store called "Albert Heijn". A person had a bag full with cookies, candy, meat, et cetera. The guy got outside the store and an other person saw that he stole it. He ran up to him, and threw him on the ground, took the bag, and gave it to an employee. But the guy didn't give up, but after the police was there and arrested the person.

And of course not, I don't have any weapon. Because I'm not someone who needs it. (I never go outside lol)

 

I already illegaly glitched a payment system to be premium on a server.

And I never witnessed a crime

 

My mother used to own a gun, when I was really little. But I'm honestly not sure what happened to it.

I saw somebody get arrested before. But I never saw them break the law, or I never remember seeing them do it.

These kids in my math class were doing a drug deal.

 

I'm Canadian so no obviously I don't have a gun but I witnessed a drug deal last week actually and someone robbing stuff at Walmart a few years ago

Uh...Well, I see a lot of the students at my school going outside to smoke weed, which is illegal around here.

I saw a bunch of police cars pulled up to a store once, so I can only assume there was a shoplift there.

Oh, and when I was visiting California in 2012 I saw somebody get arrested.

I have only witnessed 3 crimes in my life

The first one was when i was waiting for the bus in middle school, and there was this Woman causing a disturbance, she was swearing and yelling at the staff and the principal of the school, she looked like the kid who you would always see in detention. the campus officer finally showed up and put her in cuffs. :P

the 2nd one was when i was in sophomore year, and i was walking with a old friend of mine to class, when the lockdown bells rang, the principal then began yelling at us to get inside as soon as possible, Some jackass lied to me saying it was a man with a loaded Uzi, but really it was a woman running away from the police, (Hell, it could have been the woman from story #1 xD) And my friend Bolted across the courtyard screaming like a hyena on crack.

the 3rd one ive seen was when i was walking out of my local target with my mother, and there was this guy in a suspicious rusty hunk of junk car driving through the parking lot, as we were driving away, i saw the same car being pulled over by police, it was a guy trying to shoplift from the store :P I wasn't really surprised because that target was not too far away from the bad side of my town.

And to answer your question, yes i do have some weapons, but we keep them locked up in our closets, I own a High-powered Airsoft M4 Carbine, and a FN P90 (Sub-machine gun) but i also own a Airsoft Desert eagle that can shoot through metal. even though i am mostly a person who does not like to fight, I still need to defend myself, I dont own a gun just cause i want to shoot it, i own one because i need something to protect myself.

 

I live next to a mall. +10 to those in my area who correctly guesses it. And my highschool is also a few meters away from the mall itself, so I walk home.

I've seen three guards running around like hell with their pistols out. Turns out there was an armed robbery that happened just right before classes ended.

I was there when a syndicate robbed a jewelry shop in the same mall. Security was lax at the time because of who-knows-what. Three guys somehow smuggled .45 calibers without airport-grade metal detectors catching them. So, there was a gunshot and hell went loose.

Property damage is a crime too, so this idiot threw a damn bottle at our car's windshield. Good thing the idiot was stupid enough to miscalculate the sound of thick glass breaking. We got the guy.

Some kids in EDSA are inhaling rugby(it's a drug name), probably shabu too.

I was ALMOST kidnapped. There's this modus operandi of a syndicate over here in the Philippines that's scary as fuck. Criminals use identical to real public transport vehicles (lesser known method) or convince students/you to come with them to the school principal. Some stranger went up to me and asked where our principal was. I said she was still at school and I gave directions. But when they tried putting me into a suspicious looking car, I recognized it from the mews and ran like hell home.

My dad owns four guns... one sniper rifle for hunting, two .45 calibers, one 9mm, and something that looks like a shotgun (he built this one from scrap). I've been taught to use the four first ones.
Edit: it's legal to own guns as long as you have a firearms license.
