When you're on the main forum page (not the home page) there's a side bar that shows staff and members online. If you have people you follow that are online, their pictures will show up rather than just the names of all the members online. Also, in your settings you can set so that only people you follow can view or post certain things on your profile.
That's not exactly what you said. Using the followers for count is useless; using it like I do and some others, to possibly block your profile from people or smth, is correct.
well it does but you can see their names when you go to the main page of the website if they're online, so that's useful.
Well, personally, I just find it this way. If I follow someone, it shows that I respect him, whether or not (s)he respects me, or I just find him/her to be a friend of mine. If someone follows me, I assume that they respect me or want to be a friend. To be honest, I don't give two shits about the amount of followers I have. I just follow friends and those I respect because, friends and respect, and I thank my followers for respecting me for who I am and/or wanting to be my friend. Eh, that's just my personal opinion as to why people follow one another or such.
I guess you're right, point taken。 But otherwise it doesn't serve as much of a purpose as, well following someone on Instagram, for example。
