Help With a Recording Setup

What's a good recording setup for a beginer?

AKA What's the best recording software, best mic, best editing program, all that stuff for a beginer.

 

Beginner recording? I suggest OBS because you can record and live stream. It doesn't lag out your games either.
Best mic: I'm not sure.
Best editing: If you have the money. Then get sony vegas. If not, windows movie maker.

 

How and where do I locate my OBS recordings? I'm a Mac user too.

 

As a beginner myself, I use just a headset as a mic, I have AVS as an editor, but it's $50 so I suggest using something like iMovie or Windows Live Movie Maker. Bandicam is my recorder, but it has some bad FPS, so try OBS as stated above. Hope this helps.

 

Im a beginner and I use fraps. Its actually the best recording software out there.

 

Mirillis Actions, you get a free 1 month trial, but it takes forever to upload, when I tried to upload mine it took 5 hours. And in the free trial you can't remove the watermark. If your 1 month trial has ran out you can buy it just for $26 if you have the money. And with the full version you can remove the watermark

Editing program: Windows Movie Maker , if you're rich and spoiled, Sony Vegas

 

In my opinion, the best recording software is Fraps, it's really easy to use, but will take a lot of drive space if you record videos more than 5 minutes or so. If you'd like to use a free recording software, then I recommend OBS. It's a good alternative to Fraps or Dxtory.

The best microphone based on my experience has to be the Blue Yeti microphone, it records your voice clearly and loud enough to hear. It costs about $100 or maybe more, prices may vary depending on where you buy it. What I am currently using is the Blue Snowball Microphone, it cost me $60, but it's worth it. It records your voice in hd almost like the Blue Yeti, and is definitely a great mic for beginners.

Well, I use Cyber PowerDirector and it works fine for me. It costs like $40, but it has a lot of features that you can use (might be a bit confusing to use at first). If you're going to doing heavy editing then I'd recommend Sony Vegas Pro, but it's immensely expensive (like $100+) it costs a couple hundred bucks.
