[PC Build] Help me!

After heavy research, and much consulting, I've decided to go with the Benq monitor. The Asus and the Benq are essentially equal aside from the MS, and the dimensions. Do I need to buy an internet adapter thing and soundcard with this Gygabyte motherboard? Also is it compatible with all of my parts?

Alright. Any specific type of internet adapter you would recommend?

 

TP-Link has some good ones for decent prices.

 

I would personally get an Engenius one.

They tend to work really well.

 

I couldn't find any Engenius internet adapters.

Some of the higher priced have 802.11a/b/g/n and things like that. What adapter with the specs should I get if I want to pull good internet.

 

Doubt you need a/b/g/n unless your modem has 5Ghz band. Go with a b/g/n 300Mbps one.

Why not have the ability to have 5GHz?

 

Because I'm unsure whether his modem supports it or not, and I'm almost sure it doesn't.

hm well, at my high school they literally have a "pathway" that teaches you how to build computers. It's called ICT, and they work with a company you've probably heard of, CISCO. If you know anyone associated with CISCO they'll probably be able to help you out. A lot.

Usually modems that support it tend to advertise it. Was yours advertised as supporting 5Ghz?

If not then just do a simple web check using the model number.

 

I have a intel i7 processer with a nvidia gtx 960 video card. perfect Also a Gigabyte z97x ud7 th mobo 16 gigs of ram, and I run 800 fps normally
You dont have to buy like the gtx titan x to record, or run mc good as well as titanfall for the pc

A 960 is a complete and utter waste of money. A 760 performs quite similarly and costs around a third less.

If you'd gone with an i5 and a 970/waited for a 380X the performance you would be getting would be a lot better than what you get with an i7 and 960.
