Stalking staff members

You might guess what this thread is going to be about just by the title, yes lately and for the past few months players have been following us around the server to just annoy us. We have told you to stop and don't, we could warn you for harassment because after we tell you to stop it automatically becomes stalking. The staff understand you sometimes have questions that's okay but it doesn't mean you have to ask one staff member to do ./mods and tell you where another staff member is to go ask them. Instead ask the person you asked to do ./mods the question that's what staff members are for.

If you're planing to report in game and the staff member does not answer don't sit there spamming them till they answer go to the forums that's why they were made, keep in mind we are busy people and can't attend everyone instantly. Then there's players who just go to message us random things that are meant to be annoying and know they will annoy us so they will message us these things. These messages can get in the way of us helping another person who actually need help or in the way of something important going on it the staff chats and or and it's the normal chat.


The staff did not want to address the issue back then because it wasn't as big now it has escalated to a whole new level to where we feel scared/annoyed/frustrated to come on the server. All the staff could agree this needs to stop, now that begin said if a staff member tells you to stop messaging them you stop, stop means stop. If they tell you to stop following them you stop. If they tell you to stop doing anything they do not like against them you stop. It's not that hard to understand what stop means. Any staff member who continues to be harassed even though they have warned the person to stop have the ability and free will to warn you. If you come back and do it again they can warn again until you probably end up banned if you can't understand what stop means. It's not a big favor from us, we need personal space as well and vice versa, have a good day or night.

Aren't you a staff member as well? Because you say that you are every 'you', and 'you' includes all of the staff members... Am I right?

I don't understand why everyone praises Staff Members, it's not like they are Gods. They are just doing their job and what they were intended. It can be hard being a Staff Member, and the last thing they need is a lot of people on their backs.

 

Just to make clear, staff member are only people that have more perks than others. That doesn't make them gods or something. Stalking won't make you staff people. Just don't stalk them. Like everyone says, they aren't gods.

 

Just treat a 'Mod' Or a 'Helper' the same way you would treat anyone else.They are nothing special or different from us.Like NickerPan said, 'They are not gods'.
If you have to ask them something important about a serious situation then ask them.If its something about a hacker,Scammer, and or harassment report it.Just don't be bothering staff about some situations that you can report on the forums.

Well technically some staff members are [God]'s so...

 

Normal users of the server get spammed too, and staff tell us to ignore them. They may feel frustrated, annoyed, scared or harassed or any of the things you think you may feel.

What's the difference here? Ignore them like you tell us too. Staff don't have to give out more unnecessary warnings.

 

How about reporting spam? Ever thought about that?

 

They are just trying to do their job. Its hard when they are trying to moderate the chat and people are spamming their chat or something else.
They aren't gods, They aren't going to give you money. They are normal staff members, Who care for the server and Don't want to be distracted when they are trying to do their job.

 

You see, I disagree with doing that also. There are many reasons people spam, it's just an inconvenience for them to be spamming to you. But what's more inconvenient, having someone take up some space on your screen or getting a warning/temp banned from the server? It's unfair and a stupid rule.

 

I suggest you to make a thread about it in the 'suggestion' section, then. Let's see other thoughts about it. ;)

 

There's no point as no one would agree. No one seems to care about fairness within this server anymore.

 

Fairness is important, of course. But for me the rules are also important. If the rule says 'no spam', I won't spam. The rules are set up by mature and professional staff members.

If they have a reason for contacting staff (such as to ask a question or a report), i'm pretty sure they (the staff) are smart enough to ask them not to spam, and help the person regardless.

You don't report spam?

Then you have no reason to complain about this.



Now, shifting attention to the OP

Not everyone has a forums account, and not everyone has a need to get one. Some people just want to play the game, and stay away from all the crap that happens on here. Some people have been advised to stay away, others just aren't allowed to go on sites that aren't familiar to them.

Not everyone needs or has want to acquire an account here. And they have many reasons not to.

If you are busy with other people, then direct them to a staff who has time to help. If you aren't helping, then "drop everything you are doing and help them" like your job entitles. If you are going to help the person, then finish with the first person you are helping.
