I'm gonna be building a new PC for Christmas, so I am gonna do this for my current laptop and my coming soon PC. (THESE ARE NOT FOR SURE, BUT LIKELY)

    Where I live:
    Oman
What are my PC's / laptop Specs and stuff:
    Current: HP Pavilion laptop
    New: (Custom built)

    Keyboard:
    Current: Built-in
    New: Razer BlackWidow Chroma

    Mouse:
    All: Razer Imperator

    Headsets or HEARING MAGGIGS:
    Razer Kraken Pro

    Monitor or Screen:
    Current: Built-in
New: LG Flatron Full HD 3D monitor 27 inches

    Internet speed:

All: Usually 5 Mbps, I know it sucks, but the area I live in can't handle any higher (the rest of the country sometimes goes up to 40-50 Mbps -.-)
EDIT: Yes, we should be getting 72 Mbps although our area does not have good enough anything. (Normal internet cables and all)

Edit: The main reason for that keyboard is to attach it to my fan (ceiling) and have a disco party.
(It was a joke if you didn't realise)

I am not trying to show off or anything, but I am just listing what my new PC specs are going to be. Sorry in advance if anyone considers this as showing off (which I do accidentally, a lot)

Unless y'all do content creation (rendering videos, 3D modelling and rendering), you're going a bit overkill on that RAM and CPU.

But I also play many games that take up loads of the CPU and RAM, and I usually have a bunch of programs running at once. My laptop constantly freezes from background programs too o.o so if you add them up, I may still be going overkill but then again, I am gonna be having this PC for the next few years so I might as well go for that, since I might get into creating things that you mentioned.

Okay, I'm not stoping you or anything, future proofing is a good idea if you rarely upgrade. Just saying that cause I have the same CPU and amount of RAM and even high end games and heavy multitasking don't use it all.

The processor is not really a factor in gaming, most of the load falls on to the video card. If you're doing a lot of processing like streaming and burning movies then CPU is important

My PC is mainly for my editing and animating, gaming is a also important, but at first I thought about rendering only. That's why it is good.

Just saying if you guys ever do run benchmarks what stats do you get?
here is a link to some free ones. This company also have really good professional ones but they run for about $25 so I would jut use the free trials

The power supply is overkill too.

You may as well go for a Xeon 1230 v3 instead of a 4790K like me because unless you know what you're doing, I wouldn't recommend overclocking, which IMO is the only reason to go for the 4790K over the Xeon. The Xeon is also cheaper.

And if you do decide to go with the Xeon (which I hope you do) then you might as well get a B85 motherboard. Great value and looking at your build, holds everything you need. Also cheaper than Z97.

EDIT: Decided to show you something that will most likely be cheaper and perform exactly the same: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Qtj4wP

Its not too bad but I would say he should lower to 600w as the graphics card only requires a 500w supply
