I'm actually really dissapointed in that not 1 person has even mentioned what is happening in Ferguson.
If you don't know there are riots going on. Why?
Because Darren Wilson, a white male cop shot an unarmed black teenager 6 times in Ferguson.
This teenagers name is Michael Brown
It has taken 3 months for the Grand jury to make a decision on the case.
AND HE WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY FOR MUrder.
What kind of fucked up country are we living in, where a white male cop can shoot an unarmed black teenager and not be charged with murder.
Did I mention he shot Michael brown six times.
I actually find this truly disgusting and refused to stand for the pledge today in school.
The Media is also trying to victimize Darren Wilson
by saying Michael was punching him and attacking him and it was self defense.
Really?
Also to victimize him further they released photos of his 'injuries'.
Would you like to see these so called injuries?

There's not a bruise on this man.

No lies, I hope Darren Wilson spends every waking moment looking over his shoulder. I hope that every time someone walks behind him, he feels fear deep in his gut. I hope he never has another moment of peace in his entire life. Let him experience a tiny fraction of the fear and dread that black people all over America feel everyday.

If a black man was killed it was his fault he was instigating
But if a white kid shoots up a school he's a good kid who just has mental problems.

This is a serious topic, glad you brought some attention to it. However, it is in the real life section so good job.
But what relevance would it have to us? That's like pasting a news story in chat. We'd read it, it would get our attention but for an individual, not much could be done.
In my views though, these stories happen quite a lot in America, the English police for example don't do anything like that... yet sometimes they should. Similar to the person recently who broke up a fight, then was suffocated by the police. Good society right?
Also in addition to your last bit on the thread, locking it doesn't stop people from looking at it. There can be more serious places like other forums, discussion areas, even on other social media to talk about important news stories.

If I'm correct, I believe you only have the right to use self defense if t one who is supposivly targeting you makes a move first, such as a punch or shooting a gun, or, if they verbally threaten you in some way, so even if Micheal Brown DID say something, there is still no reason to take such extreme matters.

However, if there is some sort of perceived threat of physical harm from the aggressor, even if it's not intentional, self defense can still be used, but still, he was clearly unarmed, so again, shooting him 6 times is not a proper act for the situation.

Some people in our country just take a look at a black person near them, and instantly feel threatened, where they would feel fine near a white person. And no, I'm not directly talking about this specific situation, I'm talking in general. Point is, I bet there would have been a different decision about this case if it we're someone white, even if it's not true, that's how messed up this country is that makes me have that opinion.

 

I'm not siding with the cop nor the victim, I don't know what happened there. Who knows, maybe the guy did attack the cop and we could be in the wrong, or the cop attacked the guy because he's black and we're in the right. I don't want to be blaming someone for something that they didn't do.
If i see a video of the guy beating up the cop or the cop just shooting the guy for no reason, then I'll take sides.

 

I agree with you for the most part, the police brutality, but I kinda doubt he shot that man just because he was black? That would be considered rasicm, which you said. I just can't believe that is literally the only reason the cop shot brown.

 

This might not have been the only reason but it's perceived by many sources that it was because there was no sign of injury on Darren at all. Apparently it was because he "robbed a convenience store"
But that doesn't make up for Darren shooting at him 6 times.

Police brutality on the so called "cop." Not to sure if it's racism or not on his part. But he still needs punishment for murder. Anyone who does that.

 

You talk about white supremacy yet you don't show evidence to support it. Just because the 'kid' was black, that doesn't mean that this is a case of racism and that it is the reason for the cop not to be arrested.

Get to know the full story. I didn't know about this, as a Portuguese citizen, problems like this don't caption my attention much since it's in another country and continent.. But you need to know the context of all of it.

Reason why the cop wasn't arrested is because witness sightings differ from Michael moving towards the cop to Michael raising his hands. In one of those possibilities, the cop had the 'right' to do it. Auto-defense.

The reason why he was found not guilty is because there isn't decisive evidence. You see.. Everybody is innocent until proven guilty.

Problem about these issues is because, if people are from different races, then suddently it's racism. It's not. It was an unfortunate event, unfortunately it had to end up like that. But you don't know what was actually going on, it could have been the cops life at stake for all that we know. If you completely put races apart from this, you might get a clearer look at it.

I'm not showing compassion with the cop, no, shooting a kid is bad ofcourse, no doubt on that (I think that's common sense), but he might have had a reason for it. Then again. I can be wrong, you can be wrong. We don't know for sure what happened there.

But anyways, now that I shared my opinion on it, I must say too, that this is a gaming forum and yes, this is the real life section, but posts like this MIGHT get controversial (like it happened in the beginning of this thread). But as long as it stays like this, a calm ambient, then it might be left opened. As long as it doesn't cause too much commotion.

 

I saw this on the news. Darrien I feel like was scared and shot him but kept shooting just in case if he survived. But, at the same time the so called "injuries" are total bs.

 

The cop had the right to do it, this is what they are trained to do.
