אנחנו אוכלים אוכל
(anachnu ochlim ochel)

ochlim - eat
ochel - food

They have the same word root, and they're basically the same word, you just add 2 more letters in "eat"

conclusion - English sucks <3

Essen is to eat and also food. SIE SIND DAS ESSEN UND WIR SIND DIE JAEGER
