I quit. Unless someone can actually help me, I'm never doing /server OITC ever again

Why

 

I am probably literally the worst player on the entire server. I struggle to get 4 kills and I only win 1 out of 20 sword fights.

 

Why not practice some pvp?

 

I do. EVERY DAY. I'm not getting any better no matter what I try. I feel the urge to hack but I never will.

 

Cheating/hacking won't make you better either.

I have been playing for over a year. In fact, I'm getting worse.

 

i'm not good at pvp either but usually altering your settings/options can make it a bit easier to pvp
like, increasing your sensitivity can probably help you
do you have a mouse or a trackpad? i have a trackpad and it's annoying af to pvp so using a mouse is better. .3.
other than that i don't have anything since i suck myself xd

1. shoot ahead of people not at them.
2. Use critical hits (jumping and hitting someone while you are falling down) if you are comfortable with it.
tbh, criticals aren't needed that much. I used to never use them when I played OITC with a trackpad, and I still dominated. (I had really good aim but I don't have it anymore ;-; )
3. Strafing is important (a and d keys)
However, it is hard sometimes with a trackpad.

4. Increase FOV (kind of like what Lila said except she said settings). this will stretch out everything and it will be easier to aim. It takes sometimes getting used to but it's worth it. Also, remember that people are closer than they look in larger FOV.

In all, improving your aim helps a lot. PVP won't be a big issue if you can shoot well.

 

I just don't know how I can go from nailing reds in Turf Wars left and right Infiltrators everywhere but I have so much struggle here.

 

The thing is that people here tend to hesitate and take longer to shoot, since they have only one arrow. You need to let the arrow fly. If you miss, oh well.

 

I would recommend to try what people said above. It is very important to not be scared to shoot that arrow..... What i do is shoot it and i hope for the best. Once you get used to that you will start getting used to it which will make you make more of your shots. In your Pvping issue I would say:

• Increase Your FOV its helps.
• Get more criticals, It makes the target easier to kill and its alot faster.
• Try to get the least lag as POSSIBLE.... .This enormously helped me, What i did was just get optifine and fps+ [Reduced my lag by about 70%]
• Try to hit them jumping around them, If you do not know what i mean just try to jump around them and hitting them at the same time, It makes it harder for them to hit you.
• Switch your keys. I switched my sprint key to R and my f5 key to SHIFT. It made it easier to see my surrondings

Thats all i really have.... Hope you dont quit because ive seen you play, youre not that bad :D

If you start something, don't give up too easily, give it a chance. If you keep trying to do the things above, and still can't win, then ask a pro or someone decent to physically train you in a 1v1. 1v1s are always much better and effective.

1) separately train with a bow and sword. I suggest playing factions and going into warzone to work on sword, and maybe a single player world with distant targets to work on the bow. Don't forget to get chits when sword fighting!

2) After mastering the sword and/or bow, work on running while attacking. To win an OITC game, you must be very agile and know how to easily fight and constantly be moving around.

3) Dont take too much time shooting. That is just enough time for someone to sneak up and kill you.

4) If someone is running away for 4+ seconds, just give up chasing them. You can't risk losing any time, you need quick kills.
