Wow guys I am surprised at you

..... Hey guys... I am surprised that you didnt recognize today as National Anti-Bullying day.. Wear the color purple to support it... wow guys..

 

How would you know that none of us wore purple? I did actually, a Black Sabbath t-shirt.

 

Sorry, i don't really pay attention to this kind of stuff... Guess it's purple for me ^-^

I have hardly any purple clothes

 

No wonder I hadn't heard of it before.

I inadvertently wore purple yesterday, I live in the U.S. and I didn't know

 

I don't understand how doing something like that can "help".
If you wanna help prevent bullying, you can actually try and help people who are victims to bullying, or talk to bullies and convince them to stop.
Wearing a shirt with a certain color won't change anything. Sure, I can change my shirt to a purple one, will it prevent bullying from happening? No.
What I'm trying to say is, there are more powerful ways to prevent stuff like bullying, self harming etc from happening. Wearing a shirt in a certain color, drawing something on your hand, whatever - these actions won't change anything.

 

In Australia, (generally) when days like this occur, you have to pay $1-$2 to your school (1, to be in free dress, 2, to donate to foundations that tackle depression & bullied kids & teenagers). Idk if America does this though.

 

Shouldn't it be anti-bullying day everyday?

 

I don't quite see how you expect everyone to be aware of Anti-Bullying Day, as great as it would be if everyone was. It's not exactly "advertised" in the same way as Thanksgiving or Halloween or whatev. It'd be better if more people knew about Leif Eriksson Day(October 9th) too!

Also, I actually did wear a purple sweatshirt yesterday, despite living in the USA being unaware of Anti-Bullying Day. Yay me!
