I live in the UK, I hardly have any lag. The only reason I have lag is from my computer. Like a few mins ago I had to reset my settings (well, chane them) whilst I was listening to music on YouTube. And It's a MacBook Pro!
McProHosting is only for small servers. If you have a big server you have to give them some of your profits. I have had them for a small server once and umm there not good...
This is how a server is like: Server --> Client. So, if I were playing on a server, I have to send data to the server and the server would have to send data me. So, if the server was using high-speed satellite connection, but a thunderstorm hit that are, would that cause the server to have downtime and not my computer?
Heat and bad storms affect my connection a lot. I'm not talking from host side, I'm talking from user side.
Lol, "the internet" is mostly connected by wires, not satellites. A thunderstorm would not affect cables underground. If you're wondering how internet goes from continent to continent, look up "submarine communication cable".
Totally agree the last one was probably the best. And guess what I live in United States Of America right next to canada and I still lag.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the new host (For me) Be grateful J&H took the time and money, to provide a better host for you guys. I play on a laptop and still get my average 50 - 70 fraps.
This is BY FAR the best host so far, for me anyways. I can't even believe the difference with this one and the previous ones.
Ever since we got this new host I have been fine (btw I'm from Australia) the only time I lag is when I'm uploading something to youtube which is affecting my own internet and causing me to lag. It could be your computer that you currently use to play on J&H server
Its not. I run at a constant 80 to 100 fps and my internet connection is perfect. Also, tons of other people are having the same difficulties so it can't just be me.
I'm not the only one who gets nerveous when they sign up for a server's forums, with the thought they can track down your IP and know where you live, right?
