Lucky facts on staff applications.

I looked around several server websites today, and find some lucky facts about this server.
First, look at these staff requirements on other server:
Hypixel:
1: age must be 16+ (This kills a lot of staff members on IJAH. :( )
2: Must donate
3: Lots and lots and lots of questions.

ShotBow: Well, I looked through their sites, and found no place to apply. I don't know how they elect new staff members. (What the...)

TheNova/MCOrigins: Must donate

I don't know it's the amount of players on the server affect that, but it's a little too strict. So, I think we are lucky that we choose IJAH to play, because there's not so much limitations, and won't block those who have that kind of maturity/talent to be a staff. (As far I know not everyone is allowed to donate) This is a pretty good choice.

 

This server has no relations to other servers. How you apply and are elected for staff on other servers shares nothing with this server, so don't compare/contrast them.

Also, there are limitations here. Most applications are based on maturity and talent, hence the types of questions that are asked.

 

If you didn't notice, Hypixel is way, way, waaaaay bigger than IJAH.
In IJAH, it's okay to have a few 13-14 staff members because there aren't many staff members, so it's easier to keep an eye on all of them.
Hypixel, on the other hand, has many staff members, and they probably want them all to be mature and old enough to take such responsibility. Even if they are mature, 13 years olds can't handle such duty as moderating a huge server.

 

How is having a Donor requirement for Staff Apps against EULA? They aren't selling the game, and want people who openly support the server.

 

Well we use to not be able to apply. And to be honest thats kinda nice. Applications really don't matter that much they just use that as a reference. Its more about how you act in game from what I have heard.

 

I'm not tend to compare or argue, I'm just bringing in some facts.

It's actually a point. Agreed.

No that kind of suggestions. I'm not talking about any staff members whether they should or not. That's the admins' choice, not ours.

 

Hypixel's a lot bigger So they need some older staff And we are lucky not to have it 16+

 

That's what I'm talking about in this thread. Just a thank to IJAH for letting those 16- and non-donators be able to apply and have a chance.

So that was roughly a year and a half ago. I am positive they are 17 now.

You can't apply for ShotBow so that's why you don't find anywhere to apply. They just watch you for about half a year or so in game and in forums and tell you to go to Mumble and go through everything you need to know. Trust me, it used to be a good process but ShotBow is way too big now and it's probably a crappy way of doing things.

I totally agreed this also hypixel had 1 month ago exact 135 staffmembers (kevinkool made a thanks thread) bur i think they have now like 145 anyway i think ijah should have more staff aswell anyway i dont bother aswell :p

 

We may not have strict requirements but it doesn't mean it's any easier to obtain staff status.
