Really, to be honest, just add more irl real things.

To be honest, I hate the idea of adding Shower and Toilet blocks, I would abolsutely hate for Minecraft to get high tech. I like to keep it rustic, not modern.
You have to be creative, you have to be creative to make toilets and stuff with the stuff that's in the game! If Minecraft becomes modern, you won't be able to be creative!

I love it being primarily of blocks! It's Minecraft! I want Minecraft to be continue to add new blocks, and to add more challenges and awesome stuff, like the Water Temples!

I would add a lot of ores such as copper, which is usable with redstone. Titanium ore which can be made into titanium doors and there would also be armor that can be only obtained through dungeons and has a very small chance of spawning as it would be twice as powerful as diamond.
There would also be a Uranium ore, that is actually a block that hurts you when you try to obtain it by using radiation. It will drop uranium if mined and when you hold it, youll actually be affected with nausea V and a new effect called Radiation poisoning and will deal 2 hearts of damage

 

I would add Amethyst ore. IDK why XD
