Discovery and Hasbro Break up... this could be the end of ponies...

Welp, the other day Im doing my routine checking Equestria Daily and i found something....

Just read it. This could be the end of mlp. You realize it might not even be on the hub anymore? It could be on cartoon network, which could make the show violent. If its on nick then i think im just done withe everything.
If its on disney then just..

This could be the end of mlp. Sure, it was a pain in the ass to wake up early every saturday to watch them, sure the hub had a lot of crap "family movies" and shows. (In fact the only good movie they put on was spaceballs) And now discovery just thinks they are KING SHIT. Im mad about this. this could be the end of mlp.
And if they move to another channel this means it could be G5. Man i have been in this fandom for more than a year now (Shout out to perc, if it werent for him i still would have been a hater), and i have never been this worried...
Oh and nothings going to be changing too soon, we will still be able to enjoy season 5. (MHhh cant wait for wave 11 blind bags)

It wouldn't be on Cartoon Network, that'd be out of place considering its *intended* audience

If it was on Disney or Nick, then maybe it'd actually make one of those channels GOOD, which would be a real benefit. However I have no idea how they'll fit it in with the shows.

Edit: I doubt that'll have a big effect on bronies though since so many of them (e.g. myself) watch the show on the Internet, and they're not going to cancel a show that's so successful.

I remember Discovery Kids way back before Hub, and they had some pretty interesting shows. Whatever happens, there's still the 9-3 block, and if anything Disney would pick up MLP. The show was originally written for young girls, and that's Disney's demographic

Cartoon Network doesn't add violence to everything. Ever heard of Foster's or Clarence?

And by the way, Discovery IS "king shit." They're one of the largest channels in the world.

Believe it or not, My Little Pony is a little girl show. Their main demographic is little girls. This small group of bronies is not going to change the business decisions. The main demographic of Disney is little girls. It would be great for business, I don't think you'll die if you have to turn on Disney once a week to watch ponies.

It's not going to PBS, since you don't make money there.
It's not going to Discovery, since that would just be disrespectful to Discovery fans.
It's not going to Nickelodeon, nobody would watch it.

If I had to put money on it, even though Disney would be logical, I would bet it would go to NBC and be shown withe the morning cartoons.

Now that the two companies broke up, It'll probably be on Disney, which will actually attract more viewers. some of the original MLP fans won't watch it anymore and MLP is a girl show, as joey said, so all the 'little girls' on Disney will discover MLP and watch it.

So in a way this is exactly like the 'Microsoft-buys-Minecraft' issue, no matter how much people complain (the old MLP fans in this case) they wont change their minds, because it's making money.

 

Discovery is actually a network of channels. Discovery's sister channels are TLC, Velocity and a few others.

well, actually bronies have had A LOT of influence on the show, and isn't that something?

 

I know, but the MAIN demographic is the little girls that like ponies. The toys are in the girls' section of Toys R Us for a reason.
