Other Games Super Smash Bros Brawl: 3DS (demo).

Hello everyone, yeah, yesterday, SSBB came out in the form of a demo, where you could play as Mario, Link, Pikachu, megaman, and the villager. What were the characters you would want to play as when the full version comes out? What do you think of the game? What do you think of some of the downgrades and upgrades of the old characters?

Let's see.

Characters I would play as:

• Lucario
• Greninja
• Robin
• Lucina
• Luigi

What I think of it:
Pretty decent, although honestly, the graphics were better on the Wii than the 3DS.

I honestly think that the downgrades were pretty fair, but still, it made the game less challenging, as on the Wii, the overpowered ones were the fun ones to kill.

What about you guys?

I will most likely play as Greninja as I am more of a speedy person (not irl lol) and also SSSSSSAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNIIIICCCC guta go fest m7 Oh yeah, did you know? You can make your Mii as a fighter! You can choose from Swordsman, Brawler, and Gunman. I'm really excited!

 

Yeah, I would probably choose Swordsman, as that is the kind of person I am, but MEH.

Ness has always been my main. He's really underrated, most people don't realize how good he actually is.
He and Villager will kill all for me.

 

I never underestimated Ness. The only problem is his easily avoidable smash being the falling meteors. But he is still quite strong. The villager... Eh.

Yeah, even though people hype up Kirby' Smash for instance, it's so easily dodged.
In fact, Kirby's, Lucas', Ness', etc... Nearly any smash can be avoided if you know how to dodge-roll, like all competitive players do.
In fact, Smash Balls won't even be in the competitive version of the next game (though Ness's smash is getting a huge buff).
But yeah, Ness' down a, side smash, PK Fire, Grab, Psi Magnet, and PK Missile make him devastating, that's the sole reason(s) I use him :P
As for Villager... His wide array of a attacks, along with his ability to grow a tree, makes him great, but that's just my opinion.
But dropping a bowling ball on someone always gets a grin out of me :P

 

Yes, but some people aren't as fast as some other people, and they end up getting caught in (Most of the time) instant kill moves such as Link's smash, Marth's smash, etc. Ness's PK fire and Psi Magnet is what I am most afraid of. If at a decent damage (In terms of percentage), those moves can smash you off the screen. Although Ness's moves are not as wide ranged as Lucas's is. I suppose the Villager's moves are somewhat humorous, but I don't tend to think it is powerful enough to wipe out other battlers such as Marth or whatnot.

 

Oho, yes, I'm terrible at Marth but I'm afraid when I see my opponent using him.
The only two (technically) insta kill smashes are Marth's, which has a high range but kills you if it misses, and Capain Falcon's which is risk-free but difficult to land (many believe that Ganondorf's is, but if you're on Temple or New Pork City, you're usually safe).
Yeah, Lucas is a faster and more mobile character to be sure. I dislike his PK Fire, though. It makes an explosion, which delivers some small keep-away knockback. With Ness, I can PK Fire, run in, grab, pummel, and then throw with his insanely epic throw. It's one of the best in the game, at the very least.
Adding onto this, PK Flash KOs light players at 40% and PK Missile (PK Thunder at yourself) KOs at 50% on Ness only.
(Don't ask me why I researched this, I don't know myself :P )
So that's why I end up using Ness instead of Lucas in the end.
But yeah... Villager won't do great against purely Melee-based characters, but he'll destroy ranged and group matches.
Although I'm looking forward to seeing if Rosalina really IS the new Ice Climbers...

 

Indeed, Lucas's PK Fire is a bit pathetic. I haven't seen Lucina's smash, and I really do hope to know that it is a good one (As I am a huge Fire Emblem fan.) and the one thing that I know always works, is when I am using Luigi. When I use Luigi, using the smash, I have my opponents fall asleep within the circle that Luigi's Egyptian Dance causes, and I would use this move, a slow kick move, that normally blasts people off the screen. Although I think they nerfed that in the new one (Hopefully not), it is what I used before in Wii SSBB. Furthermore, I can use Marth/Ike very effectively as I am a more melee sword type person. For some reason, I am just naturally good with melee characters. I can't use characters like Pikachu and such, and for sure, I am horrible with the Ice Climbers. I wonder if Rosalina is part of the new Ice Climbers, since, if I am not mistaken, they rid the Ice Climbers from the new SSBB. I honestly think Rosalina was not a good addition to the SSBB game... And I am also somewhat disappointed with how they made Zero suit Samus and Samus different characters.

Pretty sure Lucina's smash is just a copy of Critical Hit, being a clone character. Also, why didn't they add Lyn or Hector or Chrom. One day, some game, they need to. No matter what the naysayers can think or say, my determination holds true forever........
Also, I'm pretty sure the split between Samuses (Samus's? Samusi? Samusen? Sameese?) was for competetive purposes and for mastery of one character. I also disagree with this, but I can see why the competitive would want this.

On topic, people I want to play as:
Link (though I have played him already, and I'm satisfied with the un-nerf)
Villager (also already played)
Little Mac
Robin
Lucario
Marth
Pac-Man
Shulk looks interesting enough
Ness

And surprisingly, Mega Man was really, really, really underwhelming. I expected a little bit more from the Blue Bomber.

I like how people are already deciding what characters they're gonna play as before they even use them. Going in to Brawl, I thought I'd be using Game and Watch a lot....
Yeah, that was not true.

Anyways, I do know I'll be using Villager a lot and staying the fuck away from Megaman.
