Okay, I voted no for a simple reason. Dark is not necessarily equal to negative. You have the capacity, even a little bit, to cheer people up. Some of your posts are actually light. You shouldn't force yourself to be lighter than you really are. You can't please everyone. I don't know what others think about you, but I'm being honest here. You're a good person to be friends with, being funny although you're still dead serious in your posts on random spam. You've got some friends, including me, to support you. Don't worry about the haters.

 

But "Dark," is not a personality, per se some others have said. Yes, I know I do, but that is because I know they care for me, and I care for them. I cannot be a complete embodiment of evil you know. I have to shed some light. Shouldn't. Yes, I know I shouldn't, but honestly, it may just be better off for all of us. *Sigh* If only I could. Poorly, badly, an attention hog, etc. That means a lot, thank you. I have a natural reaction to talk seriously, so yeah. I can be funny from time to time, and it gets obvious when I am. Very obvious. Thank the lords for that. I would be long gone without you and my other friends. If only I could...

 

You may actually need to be slightly more positive here, because I feel as if you are neglecting the positives here and overanalyzing the negatives.
You aren't actually negative, you're actually more of just dark, which is nothing out of the ordinary.
Maybe others have viewed you as negative, due to crooked perception.
This in turn might have caused you to believe yourself as negative, and begin to act like it.
Another thing, your more recent posts really don't seem negative at all, have I just missed out on the negatives?

 

The reason I started this thread. Not entirely. At first, when I first joined, I on purposely had a happy status. When I continued to stay and warm up here in the community, I started to act more friendly. To close friends, a gentleman. Then please tell the others who think I am negative otherwise. Perhaps. Not entirely. I have the tendency to give a bit more of a negative response to some things because I am in denial of what others say of me. I guess some people look at that and view me firsthand as a bad person or something. No, I have been much more lighthearted recently to experiment.

 

If that's what you assume, then why sulk due to curs who judge first impressions/assumption?
I don't mean offense to anyone here, but the forums can be mostly made up of this lot...

I don't know what else I could say here, I can't truly fit into your situation. I have coped with stuff like this before, but you don't have my mindset...

I'm not that great with psychology, but you seem to be torn, to be honest. You want to change because you don't want hate. That's the hater's side. Now we're here, telling you not to do that because you're the way you are and you're good. It's eventually going to bring you to indecision and you'll end up leaving the community. Of course, I'd convince you not to change.

Weigh the options. It's mostly recommended by a lot to consider the opinions of the majority. That's how almost everything works, like elections. You only have two choices, either to stay the same or become a different person.

Turning over a new leaf should only be done by the bad people. Examples would be people who have scammed, griefed, etc. You haven't done anything wrong.

A brief note here: wtf, "attention hog"? Anyone here who's going to disagree with that?

Ultimately, it's your decision on what you're going to do. If you decide to change, we as your friends would not object.

 

Some people say that I am only trying to attract attention by acting differently. They got this from the whole "Shadow SoulKeeper Era."

I honestly, would prefer not to change, but this, like you said, depends on the majority. Even if I do, at least I know my friends will support me.

 

Maybe a reason we don't understand or can't reach your problem is because we just don't know enough.

A long time ago you said this. Maybe such information can help.
You probably won't tell me directly, but maybe we could need those reasons to understand.

 

If all these people are harassing or making fun of you etc, then report them, or simply move on. Just ignore them. They want a reaction and this thread is giving them that.

That's the problem. Shall I end up not giving them my respect, chances are my reputation will be further tainted and will be re-thought of as a plain asshole, and that will only spread like my negative behaviour.. Seeming that, and I quote, "Half the people in this community hate me for who I am."
