Minecraft Bye-Bye Bukkit

Bukkit is gone. So a lot of servers are shutting down :(. The workers quit because of notch. He was being greedy and demanded from them. Its very confusing.

 

They are developing "Sponge!" with Spout and Spigot now ^-^

 

Spout and Forge*. Spigot and md_5 are staying separate unless something happens with the DMCA'd code in Spigot.

 

Spigot is going away too.

 

You should read in-depth on the subject before you go and spread false accusations : )

Also, to correct you 100%.

Notch is not greedy.
Notch isn't forcing them to quit.
Wolverness, one of the main contributors to what used to be Bukkit, filed a DMCA against Bukkit, Spigot, and any other project that used his code in their implementations of the Bukkit API.
This includes Mojang, since they are the owners of Bukkit since two years ago.

Thus, in reality, Mojang is getting sued, just like Spigot.
These people are quitting of their own accord, because they see that stuff isn't going to survive this legal battle with Wolverness.


So, uhm...
Please get YOUR facts straight before you make posts, and ESPECIALLY before you start accusing others of making false posts.
